  1. Normally I’d agree with you for sure man, and as I said earlier the one team I don’t mind openly disrespecting is the Cardinals, but what is a manager supposed to say when someone does something so over the top kinda out of nowhere? I mean he gave them three “suck its” right in front of everybody out of the blue!?!?!
  2. I agree it wasn’t the worst thing. But I’m pretty sure it was a Degeneration X era “suck it” motion yeah?
  3. Normally I don’t love seeing what Abner did especially in a game that isn’t very testy. That being said, I feel confident he was responding to someone in the Cardinals dugout talking junk. But even if not, if there is one team that holds a special place in baseball where someone should disrespect them - it is most definitely the Cardinals! So I don’t have nearly as much of a problem with it as I normally would.
  4. On top of the aforementioned command and control issues, Gasser’s stuff has just not looked as crisp. His time in the big leagues in 2024 he would occasionally hit 95 on his fastball when need be, now he seems to be topping out at 92. It’s sad that coming back from Tommy John has been so much harder for him than most people these days - he’s essentially almost two full years removed from it. Alas, I have a lot of faith in the young man and think he is a smart and applied student of the game. I think he definitely has a future in a big league rotation. Regardless, if he can’t ever find that command, he should not have a problem becoming a better DL Hall in a relief role. Pairing a fastball that would probably be in the mid 90s, along with that slider from that arm angle in what would be short stints…..would be ghoooode. And be very tough on lefties. I like the lad!
  5. Couldn’t agree with this article more. However, it was really nice to see him gun down some stupid Cub to start that game the other day. Just a reminder of how dynamic he can be. Hopefully things like that put a little pep in his step going forward. That throw really zapped the foul Cubs from gaining momentum early in that game. I almost enjoy seeing the Cubs lose at home as much as I enjoy seeing the Crewers win!!!
  6. I happen to like that…..”lipper”. I think he and the Sanchize are in competition. A who’s is bigger kinda thing.
  7. Sal was one of my favorite players last year - it is jarring to me how bad of a baseball player he is right now. As much of a gamer as he is, the fact that he didn’t even CONSIDER challenging it shows his head is not in the game. That is inexplicable and not tolerable. He then fouls off a borderline pitch that prevents the winning run from reaching second. I remember Lorenzo Cain’s second year in his return to the Crew, he back legged a few homeruns and then it seemed like he was trying to do that the rest of the year, forgetting he was not a power hitter. Sal is doing that tenfold right now. His swing is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen and he is showing NO signs of attempting anything differently. He also is offering next to nothing speed wise right now. Right field cannot be a defense only position. Sal responded very well to being benched last year. That needs to be done again this year. He is not right and showing no signs of changing his issues and his head is not in the game.
  8. I think Corey Hart got hurt pretty bad by the unpadded section of the right field wall too. Not 100% sure. It has baffled me for years that the Brewers think that bottom 15 inches or whatever of wall needs to be unpadded. Their refusal to address it is…..weird. Hard to believe it’s just about saving a few bucks. Maddeningly stupid.
  9. It’s actually really a positive they’re only down three. Now they just have to see a lot of pitches to get Crochet out of the game. Also I want to see the Sanchize take Chapman deep tonight. Again.
  10. I know Hall’s fastball sucks but I really don’t think this kitchen sink approach works for him. He needs to hone in on 3 or MAYBE 4 pitches that work for him. A reliever can’t come into the game with runners on and take 10 pitches to feel out what’s workin for him today.
  11. If you feel like this is a game where you are not gonna manage seriously, then they should have starter Miz tomorrow.
  12. Wilyer Abrue is not good against lefties by the way…..
  13. Both aforementioned switch hitters are much better from the right side of the plate. I would definitely rather have a righty batting Rengifo somewhere between those three, they also could have used Lockridge, or pinch hit with Sanchez at some point. I’m pretty much stating that with men on base I would like to see Lockridge pinch hit against a lefty for Mitchell, or Sanchize for Bauers. If that isn’t going to happen, Rengifo should be swapped with Bauers in the batting order. This never happened last year.
  14. I hear you on that, but that is why I would like him to stagger his lefties and righties instead of putting so many in a row.
  15. Chew on that loss Willllson. Every team you go to ends up sucking :) Also, if my older brother acted that way, I would check him in a heartbeat.
  16. I have to say, it has crossed my mind before that jack even, that William has a difficult time calling what pitches should be thrown to his brother.
  17. Great to see Ringifo hit a rope. Especially from is weaker side of the plate. That 3rd run is huge.
  18. What an amazing angle to that slide by Yeli. Great approach by Mitch!!!
  19. How did Yelich score!! And boy have I ever seen him that pumped up!?!
  20. Nice to see Story didn’t get lucky 3 times tonight.
  21. Oh ok? He’s on pace for over 100 innings out of the bullpen this year. Before this game’s usage. Maybe every day isn’t the right descriptor. But relieving every OTHER day and being a multi inning reliever is unheard of these days.
