  1. Calvary is a biblical hill, I believe. The hill of the dead or skulls or whatever. Hopefully, it is not coming :)
  2. Man I love me a platoon proof set-up man. I will also say - even though Miller doesn’t have much experience closing, I’m very relieved they got someone with at least a modest amount of recent closing experience. I am a big fan of Uribe, but I do not trust him yet mentally to close games if that need happened to arise.
  3. I actually normally wouldn’t mind this lineup at all against a lefty but Parker is better against righties? So I’m confused.
  4. The only thing that confuses me about that is Parker actually seems to be worse against lefties…..
  5. Great summation of this process. The only thing that genuinely confuses the heck out of me is - why did the Brewers have to give up Jorge Quintana to “give” the Padres a viable starting pitching candidate. Unlike taking on Montgomery, Cortes could possibly help the Padres. I feel like Jorge Quintana could be worth more than Lockridge alone.
  6. Shelby Miller’s injury history always concerns me, but this is a great add if he indeed will be ready to go soon. Can take major stress off Megill and Uribe’s arms as well.
  7. At some point you can hoard only so many prospects. After this past draft, they are gonna have a hard time finding room for some guys. They could and should easily do a Suarez style return for a setup man.
  8. Hopefully they can put William on the injured list for almost a month. Finally get him to heal. His most recent at-bats have been pathetic. His swing decisions have been worse than Joey’s.
  9. Anybody able to find any injury updates on my dearest Salvatore?
  10. This article sums up my sentiments exactly. You can’t continue to hoard all that redundant talent. Also, I’m not saying I’m a fan of this idea, just wondering if they might do it: They don’t have room for Cortes at the moment. I don’t trust him because I think his elbow is quite compromised, but he will be coming back soon. I wonder if they would sell high on Quintana and then make way for Nestor? Also, if Tobias truly continues to find it and looks like he did in the playoffs last year, they will have to make room for him.
  11. What’s funny is that he actually was a 3 pitch pitcher when he came over from the Twins.
  12. I hear you on Pratt but at the same time, he is so young for AA at 20. I look at his numbers and am a little underwhelmed but then I think - if he hadn’t essentially skipped A+ and was playing there right now, his numbers would likely be fantastic.
  13. Really like this article. I like his curveball - I think there’s a lot in that pitch for the future. For both lefties and righties.
  14. The Brewers are way too casual getting that last out on the bases like that. There is no reason for it there.
  15. I know he’s hurt and glad he got on base but, it is just insane how Contreras refuses to do anything but try to pull the ball now after years of success going the opposite way.
  16. I really, really, really do not like Caleb Durbin’s game. He has contributed profoundly heavily to their poor play in this series. He should watch and learn how to have an approach like Ike Collins, instead thinking he’s a slugger who should pull the ball.
  17. I will take him every day of the week over those 2 guys. He still has been a disappointment - especially his speed.
