  1. In alphabetical order,.
  2. All teams homerun count ranked. Brewers ranked #30 out of 30. Yikes! https://www.mlb.com/stats/team
  3. You can never say always in baseball because things change on a daily basis, an inning basis and intra inning basis. You twisted my words.
  4. 1) Ashby used to be a starter he can handle more than 14 pitches. 2) Uribe is not more reliable and his #'s are really starting to suck as a closer. 3) Adam pitched 14 times in the last 15 games, that is 1 reason you shouldn't pitch Adam
  5. Never is to strong a word but almost always because .... Why would you want to bring in a new pitcher that may have an off day when you have a pitcher in there that had one of his best outings of the year and got the side out with only 14 pitches. Why???? And don't say because that's the way its done. Plus you burn up another arm.
  6. Uribe needs to take that lump Copenhagen out of his lip and start pitching like he's not dizzy from the nicotine.
  7. I agree 100% you should never pull a guy that just pitched a great inning on 14 pitches. Stupid stupid stupid. (Murphy)
  8. This is the first year I thought Black was good enough to be on the MLB squad but sitting the bench wouldn't do him much good. If he was a defensive wiz he would probably still be up here. You said, Black's bat path, "his bat often came straight down and then straight up." and "He makes contact very deep in the hitting zone." You would think being able to start just a tick sooner and swinging threw the ball wouldn't be that hard of a fix.
  9. Did SD change there mind on who was pitching? https://www.mlb.com/gameday/padres-vs-brewers/2026/05/12/823790/preview
  10. Risky pitches This infographic depicts the three characteristics of pitches that lead to the highest risk of Tommy John surgery for Major League Baseball pitchers. It shows a pitcher, with his arm at three different angles to represent the different pitches, and the trajectory of those pitches as they move to the plate. Graphic text: In a new study, researchers in the UAB Department of Orthopaedic Surgery studied pitch characteristics and risk of Tommy John surgery (UCL reconstruction) among thousands of Major League Baseball pitchers from 2017-2024. Cutter: For every 1 inch of side movement there is a 36% higher risk of injury Sinker: For every 1 mph increased speed there is a 30% higher risk of injury Four-seam fastball: For every 100 rpm increase in spin rate there is a 20% higher risk of injury End of infographic description. https://www.uab.edu/reporter/research-innovation/which-pitches-are-tearing-up-major-league-arms-this-researcher-surgeon-has-answers-and-advice-for-young-pitchers
  11. I think it will be early June before Lockridge is back.
  12. Time to rewatch Deliverance. Hard to believe movie is almost 55 years old.
  13. And Cubs play the Braves next who are 28-13. Braves are quietly winning so far this season.
  14. Keep us posted on Lockridge updates, if you hear anything. Just seen the replay, that was an ugly collision.
  15. Just got back and didn't read the thread but the Yankees 6 walks today killed them, that's sure is OK with me. 😁 I'll take the win.
  16. I agree 100%, Its Karma, we won. I still remember in 2024 when Judge was sliding into second, raised his hand and blocked a double-play throw from then shortstop Willy Adames, which was deemed a "missed" call because it wasn't considered a "natural part of his slide. Yankees play dirty baseball just like Buck Showalter's Mets did years ago.
  17. The only reason I can think of is the ball sometimes gets stuck under the padding. It supposedly changed an outcome of a world series a few years ago.
  18. Would love to see Lockridge back soon also. It sure would be nice if Sal Frelick could pick it up a notch quicky.
  19. He has surprised me also and hoping for a quick 100% recovery.
