    That is why I said "Not sure if it is true." Everything is pure speculation until a deal is done. There are actually 3 names total I have seen already. But the Packers do need a backup even if they stick with Sean Clifford.

    I agree 100%, I also think it is time to get Eric Haase more at bats some how, he has been an unexpected bright spot. To bad they never tried him at 1st base during the season.

    And a pitcher shortage the past few games is what got me just as much as not scoring to help the cause. This was a badly needed day off to reboot.

    Yes that is true but look at the last 4 games. We are 1-3 and gave up 17 runs, and had 4 errors. Not playoff baseball.

    Papa Murphy is twice the coach Counsell was IMHO, I was just like you last year because I hated Counsell so much I almost stopped watching the Brewers.

    All the other big boys have quadruple the payroll than the Brewers also, If anything get on Mark Attanasio.

    I hate to say....but you cannot bring out your best pitchers every single game. They are not machines that can be brought out and pitch every single game and be repaired in 24 hours to pitch the next day. Pat Murphy and Rickie Weeks understand and do know what's at stake more than anybody here and the Brewers have a much needed day off to rest and reset after 10 games in 9 days.

Murphy’s been coaching and managing baseball teams since 1983, and he knows how quickly a hot club can go cold. Murphy also knows how quickly a cold streak can spell doom in a short postseason series. “I haven’t loved a lot of what I’ve witnessed,” Murphy said before the Brewers played, and lost, an extra-inning game for the third time in four days, this time falling, 3-2, to the Cardinals. In my mind we have an uphill battle, Murphy said, "It seems like we are trying to coast uphill. You can't take your foot off the gas. The whole situation can change fast."

    Agreed, inconsistent and I have no clue how that could even be addressed. Because we do have the talent that is for sure and Sonny Grey is no slouch. But no slouches in the playoffs either.

    I am not pessimistic 90% of the time but our biggest weakness is 1st base, JMHO.

    He did play 1st base one game with Detroit. That one time in the MLB is all I seen.

    Yes, it does seem the Brewers compete to the level of the team there playing against. Crappy team and they play like crap also. etc.

    No one had hits tonight except Turang, Chourio, Hass, and Mitchell. Unless your talking about the Hoskins wiff in the 10th. Our biggest weakness is first base I think, neither Hoskins or Bauers can hit. Submit your lineup to us please. I would love to see what changes you think should be made.

    Hoskins didn't even play tonight except for his pinch hit wiff in the 10th.
