  1. The only thing I noticed is that Contreras tries to frame pitches that are off the plate by as much as three inches. Doing something so blatantly obvious to the umpire will set him up for failure on the closer pitches I believe. So the key takeaway on my thinking is: Overdoing the framing on really bad pitches leads to not getting calls on the very close pitches.
  2. Yes Quinn Priester should be a playoff starter. Personally I think Miz should be the odd man out only as a playoff starter. Miz has no stamina and pitched only 55 innings this whole season plus has the worst ERA @ 4.09 that is 3 strikes against him right there. Miz should be moved to be a long reliever. If Miz is used as a starter in the playoffs I can guarantee you he will never make it to the end of the 4th inning. To me he is a perfect 3 inning pitcher which is a middle reliever.
  3. Ortiz has to be the better defender or it would make no sense at all.
  4. Agreed, we need to get our run production back on track where we score 6-plus runs per game. Otherwise we may be in trouble.
  5. Let's play like the Packers did and get the win tonight.
  6. What is MeatWaste?
  7. To bad Danny Jansen has the same avg as Eric Haase did.
  8. Brewers speed/pitching/catching/hitting/fielding labs the Area 51 of baseball I guess. Plus Bob Uecker's time machine.
  9. If Aaron Ashby is "on" he can be almost unhittable. But if he has his usual control issues corralling his pitches he becomes very average if not detrimental with his walks.
  10. Having hindsight is a very simple way to argue anything. Brewers had an 11 game win streak going into the trade deadline and a 14 game win streak after. Now your complaining on September 11th, 42 days later because we lost 6 of our last 10? I do admit Jansen as of today was a lateral move at best but as far as Shelby Miller go's, the Brewers have been picking up injured pitchers for over 10 years, That is 100% normal for them.
  11. I'm shocked Chourio hasn't gotten much better in the OF. We tried him in left and he couldn't read the hook so we put him in center and plays to deep bcuz he realizes he has trouble going back on a ball.
  12. LOL, Bruce Bochy calls his replacement players for all the hurt TX Ranger superstars, "The Little Rascals." I'm beginning to think on average, after about 7 years or so in the MLB your already on the baseball production downslope.
  13. Texas Rangers and the City of Arlington Globe Life Stadium looks huge to me. The outfield walls are eight feet in height from the left field foul pole to the right field foul pole. The batter’s eye structure in centerfield is 120 feet in length and 40 feet high. Globe Life Field Dimensions Left Field Line: 329 feet (Adrian Beltre’s #29) Left Field Power Alley: 372 feet (Rangers’ first year in Arlington--1972) Center Field (straightaway): 407 feet (Ivan Rodriguez’ #7) Deepest Distance of Park (both left and right of straightaway CF): 410 feet (Michael Young’s #10) Right Field Power Alley: 374 (The Turnaround Gang, 57 to 84 wins--1974) Right Field Line: 326 feet (Johnny Oates’ #26) In addition, there is a distance marker in left field at 334 feet from home plate to recognize Nolan Ryan’s #34. The distance from home plate straight back to the screen of the Field Suites is 42 feet, which honors Jackie Robinson’s #42.
  14. I like round #'s like 90 and 100. With 18 games to go 100 is with in our powers.
  15. Can't believe a 74 and 70 team is even in the wild card hunt. That is not a very good record and Brewers usually play them pretty well. But as Sveum said no guarantees.
  16. Micah Parsons said Holy Crap the sky is the limit with this team.
  17. Tony Romo said the Packers are just good all around and Josh Jacobs said this is more fun than college.
