  1. The Cubs lost two of their last three games including a significant 12-5 loss to the White Sox. Their record in the last 10 games is 5-5. While they had some strong victories in that stretch, the recent losses are causing worry among fans and observers. So are the Cubs in panic mode with there recent transactions of the past 5 days? 07/25/25 Chicago Cubs signed RHP Riely Hunsaker. 07/24/25 Chicago Cubs signed RHP Connor Spencer. 07/24/25 Chicago Cubs signed C Logan Poteet. 07/24/25 Chicago Cubs signed OF Josiah Hartshorn. 07/24/25 Chicago Cubs signed RHP Freddy Rodriguez. 07/24/25 Chicago Cubs signed RHP Kaemyn Franklin. 07/24/25 Chicago Cubs signed RHP Connor Knox. 07/24/25 Chicago Cubs signed RHP Kaleb Wing. 07/24/25 Chicago Cubs sent RHP Javier Assad on a rehab assignment to ACL Cubs. 07/24/25 Chicago Cubs signed RHP Nate Williams. 07/22/25 Chicago Cubs sent C Miguel Amaya on a rehab assignment to ACL Cubs. 07/22/25 Chicago Cubs signed free agent RHP Zach Pop to a minor league contract. 07/21/25 Chicago Cubs signed RHP Jake Knapp. 07/21/25 Chicago Cubs signed RHP Dominick Reid. 07/21/25 Chicago Cubs signed C Justin Stransky. 07/21/25 Chicago Cubs signed RHP Eli Jerzembeck. 07/21/25 Chicago Cubs signed LHP Colton Book. 07/21/25 Chicago Cubs signed LHP Pierce Coppola. 07/21/25 Chicago Cubs signed RHP Noah Edders.
  2. But we got Murph the backup plan. The guy who stepped in when Craig Counsell jumped ship in the dead of night like a man sneaking out on his wife.
  3. I would love to see him here also but I'm sure we would have to some how find a way to rid ourselves of Hoskins salary.
  4. Just watched Dennis Krause on the Round Table and Krause and the crew said Brewers payroll is less than what the Dodgers pay in luxury tax. They also said they have heard no rumors at all besides the Eugenio Suarez talk. So far negotiations are not going well because they want 3 pitchers for him but didn't say which ones.
  5. I completely disagree with that comment above. Yes, teams do trade for players to fill there weakest spots but it does not have to be a player with playoff experience. Best man for the job for your needs that you can afford.
  6. Tell that to Giannis then, NBA only plays 82 games in a season and its not 90 degrees on the court, play about 3-4 games per week and an NBA game is over in 2 hrs. There rested on and off throughout the season. Teams trade players for only a few reasons, salary, younger talented prospects for the future, injuries, replacement for a positional weakness.
  7. Even Joe Maddon said its the fundamentals the Brewers and Blue Jays have which the Yankees and Dodgers are getting away from. Baseball is a craft especially in the details which should not be learned once you get called up.
  8. Guess you think he must be untradeable then with your "unless we can trade him comment". Like I said for the 3rd time now, which you keep ignoring is: TX is in the playoff hunt and probably has no intention of even trading him as long as there still in the hunt.
  9. I was thinking more like the CC Sabathia type of deal for Cory Seager. CC Sabathia was a Brewer for a franchise turning 90 days. We still talk about it even in 2025. But with Texas only out of a WC spot by 1 1/2 Games they wouldn't even consider it. hitting .368 last 15 games. Seager's Solid Showing Fuels Rangers Victory Over Athletics Corey Seager went 2-for-4 in a win against the Athletics with a home run, a double, one RBI, and one run scored.
  10. I think the exact opposite is true, Veterans can turn it up a notch in the playoffs limelight but the long season grind wears on the Vets more than the hungry young players.
  11. You have more faith than I did tonight.
  12. Oliver Dunn comes threw for the win!
  13. But Drew Avens ties it up in the 10th.
  14. I see Payamps is not getting any better Giving up 3 runs in extra innings.
  15. I know this would be a longshot but I would love Corey Seager on the Brewers. https://www.mlb.com/player/corey-seager-608369
  16. A .219 avg this year, he would be the worst hitter on the team. https://www.mlb.com/player/oneil-cruz-665833
  17. When Brewers played the Pirates his D was terrible and looked like he was only giving about 75%. Almost like he was pissed off about something. No Thankyou.
  18. Everyone was wondering why he didn't pitch today. The only other thing I can think of is he may be traded by the deadline on July 31st.
  19. We have to trade someone if were going to do anything by the deadline, Ashby is as good as any. He's been on the DL 1/2 his time with the brewers it seems.
