    New weather forecast pushed the heavy rain back to 9pm. The Cubs have won three of their previous four games and hold a 5.5-game lead over the Brewers in the NL Central. Although Brown has struggled in his second season, going 3-5 with a 5.71 ERA, the Brewers won 10-0 in Brown’s start against Milwaukee this year. Brown recorded four strikeouts while allowing four hits against the Brewers. Patrick has lost his last two starts for Milwaukee. This is his first start of his career against the Cubs. The Brewers are 16-19 on the road this season. This is Milwaukee’s first game away from home since June 4. The Brewers and the Cubs are both 6-6 in their last 12 games. The Cubs’ offense has been a machine this season, scoring 5.35 runs per game. They are second in scoring this year in the MLB. The 23-year-old Pete Crow-Armstrong has been a revelation this season. He is seventh in the MLB in home runs (18), while having the fifth most RBIs (57).

    Mitchell is the one that should be traded. He plays like 10 games in a row then he gets hurt again.

    Brewers are rarely ever projected to be a top contender. As of today we are only 1 1/2 games out of a wild card spot. I doubt we catch the Cubs but a WC spot is definitely doable. There are 89 games left between now and October first. To sell now and give up would be unforgiveable for a Brewer fan. Since the introduction of the Wild Card in MLB in 1995, 16 wild card teams have reached the World Series, and 8 of them have won the championship. The ability to go on a hot streak more crucial than anything.

    Agree with you on Joey Ortiz, he averages 18 hits every 100 at bats. That is not MLB quality, pretty bad actually.

    I agree 100%, also the Civale grumbling was turning Brewers locker room into a toxic environment and Brewers needed to put a quick end to it.

    We will see, my thinking is he may take Ernesto Martinez job if we call him up because I'm pretty sure this is Hoskins last season here. Brewers may be just thinking ahead a year.

    I guarantee you he is worth more than Andrew Vaughn but he will take Hoskins spot when we trade him later this season.

    I agree only if you could get a VERY GOOD bat. He is getting better each start but I'm 50/50 on him now. I like that he can throw 100 pitches. Almost unheard of now days.
