I will admit he is not getting worse as the season progresses. Maybe that sore arm he had at the beginning of the season just got him off to a slow start.
My point is were in the playoff hunt this year "2025" and Ortiz can't hit a .200 avg at best. There has to be something we can do to better ourselves at the SS position in the meantime. That is all I'm saying. Ortiz is not our answer until the 2029 season.
This is the guy I would love to get to replace Joey Ortiz @ SS if the Brewers were really serious about overtaking the Cubs.
