  1. I love how you can hear the crowd lose it right as Ueck says "Swing and a drive!" Never. Gets. Old.
  2. Over the term of the contract, that's absolutely 100% correct. Hard to blame the guy.
  3. If we moved back to the AL, I'd be all over signing Adam Dunn...
  4. Just saw on the chat at mlbtraderumors.com someone asked where Crede will end up, and the response was "I kind of like the Brewers for him." This is interesting to me. He had a huge year in 06, and seems to be a guy that would fit in well. If Billy gets moved, this a possibility?
  5. Picked it up on my lunch and watched a bit of it... pretty solid from what I saw, and it definitely gets all the key moments in the season. One minor thing though- I can't wait for the Brewers video that ends with a win.
  6. Less pop, less K's. Wash as a defensive CF. Younger. Less expensive. Big picture I like it. If Cabrera allows us to dump Cam and Hall's K's and $$, and possibly brings in a young arm that can start right away, I love it.
  7. Plowing the Eastside. There's my great idea.
  8. I'm not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand it definitely keeps the Brewers from being handcuffed by a huge contract. On the other, we need to do something. Especially if Peavy ends up a Cub. They won't be able to compete with Bush, Suppan, McClung at the back end of the rotation.
  9. Guys, it's the NY Post. When the Natl Enquirer confirms it, then I'll believe it 100%. As of now it wouldn't surprise me though. Seriously though I'm not quite sold on believing this until another outlet reports it as fact.
  10. 61-58 good guys. Discuss. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. This one came to me yesterday, although I'm sure it's been done. I recieved a 6 pack of Newcastle for St. Nick's. And I thought, how sweet would it be to have a beer stocking? Like those cooler bags, except in the shape of a stocking with Christmasy stuff on it. Going to a Christmas party? Bring them a cold beer stocking!
  12. I'll second White Castle. My friends and I had never had it until we went to Cincinnati for a Marquette game last year. After a win, and the night of heavy drinking that followed, it seemed like a great choice. Let's just say you didn't want to be in our hotel room the next morning.
  13. Gonna be a battle on Saturday at the BC. UW looked solid tonight, MU had a blinder on Saturday. If it becomes a track meet, MU wins. If UW can control the tempo and exploit their size advantage, they'll win. I'll be the loud guy in 428 wearing a gold sweatervest. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  14. That was fun to see... still get chills every time I see the clincher highlights.
  15. Stumbled upon this potential stocking stuffer, although I might have to pick this up for myself... Here's the link if anyone is interested. http://jsonline.mycapture...ryID=32271&thispage=1
  16. I have an Accord, and drove an older Elantra for awhile. Love the Accord, very nice car for the money. Although the Elantra might be a better value. You'll get better mileage, and the feature set on those has gotten better since mine. The Hyundai's are actually pretty solid cars.
  17. I kind of take the opposite view. The longer CC goes without telling Doug "no" tells me he's still thinking about Milwaukee. I'll put it this way, if it were only about the money, CC would have let them know by now. It is interesting though that the FA market is hanging on what kind of contract CC gets.
  18. Kinda disappointed they're changing this. I'll freely admit, I'm a sentimental softie when it comes to baseball and my Brewers, but I loved going to the event right before the opener. There was just something exciting about walking around the park for the first time after a long winter, seeing the grass and the bunting up, and sitting down just to look at the field before the players came out for BP, thinking about what might happen on that diamond during the next six months. For me, it was a way to take in the start of the season without the chaos that is Opening Day. Like I said, total softie, but I'm proud of it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  19. I don't know about the questions, but I just cracked open a beer and am watching Hoosiers right now while I wait for my laundry to dry. Doesn't get much better than that. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  20. Almost forgot. The clincher and all the playoff games are able to be purchased via the iTunes store. Might not be a bad idea to burn that on DVD..
  21. Just caught the last two innings... that was a fun one to be at. But it is so striking to see the difference in atmosphere and attendance from then to now. Sutton was raving about 30,000 at each of the first two games, and 20+K for the Sunday game. It's amazing how far we've come. Thanks Mark A. and co. for making Brewer games an event again.
  22. Speaking of classics- does anyone have the audio broadcast from the clincher? I'm specifically looking for the end of the Mets game, to hear what it sounded like with Ueck and Jim when the wait was finally over. I was too busy jumping/screaming/hugging/crying to listen http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  23. "It's pronounced "Colonel." It's the highest rank in the military." I love Creed. I thought they lost it, but the writing this season has been very good.
