  1. I hope the Joe Dillon mancrushes have ended.
  2. I have a hard time believing Sheets will make it past 3 today. Mets won. Not good with the starters presumably back in tomorrow.
  3. I'm a nervous wreck right now... come on boys, keep controlling your destiny.
  4. Personally, I think he's done a helluva job. He's managed the staff well, used Rickie in the right way, and has made the most of an extremely difficult situation with the rotation. But there was a quote from Braun that seals the deal for me- "It's the greatest feeling in the world," said Braun. "To be able to do that in that situation, especially with the emotion we're playing with now, it doesn't get any better than that." I think Dale knows this is an emotional, young team, and he's letting them ride with it. It seems he's there to be a calming influence without always hammering on an even keel.
  5. Was there tonight... crowd was a little flat until the 7th, then... wow. Pretty intense at the end of the game, and I'm not sure I've heard Miller Park louder than when Braun hit that ball. It was bedlam. And no one left until Braunie came out of that dugout for his curtain call. I just hope... and pray... that they don't let us down this weekend. I'd hate to have moments like Tuesday and tonight go for naught. 2 of 3 boys, that's all I ask.
  6. It's genius if he can get the bunt down, like any Major Leaguer should. Ned, is that you? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  7. The Bill Schroeder rule- Never rely on a white wide receiver. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  8. What a horse. Mark and Doug, throw the house at this guy.
  9. Dale should pull a Pinella, run CC out then take him out for a standing O. Hell of an effort on 3 days rest.
  10. WALK THE PITCHER?!?! BOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  11. Wow that was close to take, but atta boy Rickie!
  12. Is it just me or has Corey's swing gotten really long lately? He can't get around on those inside pitches.
  13. Man, I would not want to be Sveum in this situation. Sheets injury, Manny's dead arm, and Suppan completely forgetting how to pitch makes it a mess. I don't think starting CC three times in a row on 3 days rest is a good idea. I'd pitch him Thursday and save him for a possible playoff or game one of the NLDS.
  14. It's crazy to think that if the Mets lose tomorrow, the Brewers will be 1 GB with 6 at home to finish the year.
  15. Just need Furyk to halve this one... got a long birdie putt. C'mon Jimmy!
  16. 1) NFC Championship Game 2) MU-Stanford, NCAA Tournament 3) 4th and 26 4) Brewers collapse of 2008 5) T.O catch in 98 playoffs. Super Bowl 32 never happened.
  17. I've been really impressed with the shot-making the past couple days, a lot of fun to watch. Boo and Kim are cracking me up with their antics, and one of my favorites, Kenny Perry is on FIRE right now. Sergio with a "Tin Cup" moment was fun as well. Sounds like a raucous atmosphere at Valhalla... great TV. Hopefully the Yanks can hold on and bring back the cup.
  18. I'll get some money back and some playoff tickets I can ceremoniously burn without guilt. Oh, and they charged my credit card 4 TIMES for my NLDS tickets... so I'll get refunded even more!
  19. And I'm not sure how anyone can say they enjoy watching this team right now... just sayin.
  20. I'm like the bad guy in a Jackie Chan movie... get a kick to the gut, get back up for another. I HATE how I can't quit this team, even though all I've known from them is disappointment. I have tickets for the Thursday night game against PIT. For the first time in my life, I have Brewer tickets, and I'm wavering on whether or not to go. That has NEVER happened to me before.
  21. As someone who would have had Tommy John surgery had I been a ballplayer, I can tell you that the forearm thing might have had some legitimacy. When I was in college I had a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in my elbow, which the doctor said would have probably needed surgery if I was a pro. Even for someone who was just throwing batting practice to little leaguers at the time, I was strictly forbidden to throw for 2 months, to give it time to heal. With the injury, whenever I tried to throw, I would get tingling in my forearm all the way down my arm to the fingers, and would have some soreness on the under side of my forearm, just below the elbow. The blog from Witrado said that they knew about it and it wasn't structural. If the forearm was a symptom, I have a hard time believing that there's absolutely nothing wrong structurally.
  22. I just hope this is precautionary and not a serious thing. I don't like the looks of anything around the elbow, though.
  23. Single, Stolen Base, Walk, Walk, Double. 3 runs, good patience, no homers.
