Awesome! Now let's get some more runs! I'm giving Helling a standing O. He has been awesome. I know we can't make decisions for next year's rotation based on one game, but if he keeps this up. We might have ourselves a solid #5. -
Oh how I wish Yost would have PH for Helling and let Wise take these innings. I can see his reasoning though, Helling has been pitching well. Edit: Another big K. If he get's out of this inning, I think he has earned the "Houdini" nickname.

Helling has been pitching very well. Don't want to be a jinx or anything, but the guy has yet to give up a HR this season in 28 innings pitched. That's pretty darn good.

Small sample, I know, but his OPS for September is over .900. So he can't be in too much of a slump.

J.J. is red hot. I can't wait until next year. Having him in the lineup everyday along with Fielder and Weeks (who will most definitely bring his stats up a bit). That team is gonna be fun to watch.

He's been fine. He's having a bad outing today, but every pitcher (including Sheets and Clemens) has a bad outing every once in a while. Being critical of this outing is fine, but you can't judge a pitcher's worth to a ballclub on one outing. And what rookie are you talking about? I don't know any rookie in our Minor League system that could have an ERA under 4 as a starter in the big leagues.
