He has put up great numbers in Spring Training the last three years. He's never really been given much of a chance up in the big leagues, but if we had a rash of injuries, he seems like a potentially solid insurance policy. -

Is it just me, or does it seem like there have been a lot of posters who just post to tear others down. For me, it has taken a lot of fun out of posting on this site, when I constantly run into others being jerks toward one another. Not saying I've never gotten upset and let that come through my posts, but I would love it if this were cleaned up a bit. I think we all know who the culprits generally are. Maybe a harsh warning could be extended to such individuals. If everyone cleaned up their act this place would be 10x as fun. -

I really like what Melvin is doing with all of these FA minor league pickups. All of them are very low risk, and have potentially very high rewards. If just one of these pitchers turns out to be solid, we'll be in great shape. This is what Melvin has done in previous years (T-Bow, Pods) I'm looking forward to seeing who the 2006 version will be.
