    i'd rather give my team a better chance to come back than a worse chance to come back. anything wrong with that? sure, they played like crap, but when you are attempting to win the ballgame, you may want to put yourself in the best position to do that. we simply have a better chance to score 4 in the last 3 innings with Hart in there. and we weren't arguing, by the way. until you mentioned it. everyone was actually agreeing. which should tell you something about the state of this team and the way it is being handled on the diamond night in and night out.

    yes and i think the shot of that last Nats out was really high, too? annoying. baseball tv production seems to have taken a step back this year. if anyone out there is studying tv production there should be a job for you immediately after you graduate.

    i guess if you look at it that way then Gagne would be movie theater popcorn: overpriced and it's never there for you at the end of the show when you really need it. and Yost would be the McRib: it's not very good but somehow seems to come back every single year. I laughed SO MUCH at both of those. Awesome stuff! And extremely spot on! that's the only way i know how to cope right now.

    i just received voicemails, emails and texts from Boston friends which included a lot of giggling, i-told-you-so-ing, and head shaking upon the news that the French Connection left due to an "injury." anything said in the post-game show?

    you have to admit it was nice to hit rock bottom as far as the sub .200 averages go. kind of like watching "Intervention." things can only get better...
