  1. did powell laugh at uecker's "it's all corey's fault" comment? i love when jim breaks out laughing. wait, i thought we signed cameron to make those plays? hmmm.
  2. he should be used IN BOSTON if anywhere. earn your money. and do it in front of fans that didn't mind one bit you left town after a mediocre performance with the red sox. earn it in Boston. we'll see if you are a great closer there and only there. (this is also based on all of my friends from boston who "warned" me and are now heckling me... ouch.)
  3. what time is this so-called meeting? any word on it yet? or did yost rent out a room in the back of starbucks during the game? wouldn't suprise me. and i love how the day before the "meeting" he says to the press that the team is about to breakout. nice marketing job, nedley. ahhh, the timing of a good spin is what makes a spin.
  4. that kind of stuff will get larussa fired up and probably get in Albert's face. (ned, watch and learn.)
  5. The outcome was bad but that was a good AB. i didn't think a K with two runners on would ever be considered a good AB. start earning it out there. Regardless of the outcome that was one of Bill's most patient AB's of the year. The type of AB that all the Brewer hitter's should employ. He also took pitches in that AB he didn't swing at. Do you give him no credit for having a good eye? no. not when he swings at one that was nearly in the dirt. but maybe it's just my overall bad brewers mood i'm in. not very forgiving right now. it is nice to see weeks putting some wood on the ball tonight, for more than one at bat.

  7. hall needs a day or week off. pathetic plate discipline.
  8. agreed. can't point to injuries as an excuse if you are hitting sub .250 as a team. that would be pretty weak.
  9. yost can't even get thrown out of a game properly. weak. oops, me too. corrected.
  10. what are the pitching match-ups for the cubs series next week lining up to be, assuming a sheets return?
  11. bruce, you may be right. and you may want to enter that into wikipedia that right now. interesting tidbit from minn-clev game... they pulled c. lee after 8 and allowing only 2 hits and mentioned there has not been a shutout in the AL yet this year and the only shutout in the MLB has been by Mr. Ben Sheets. sure hope he is okay. again. clev ended up getting the shutout. (listening to d. sutton right now for AZ... don't miss him at all.)
  12. he was using turnbow's right arm to do that since the brewers are not using it. derek is a "giver."
  13. And, I wouldn't necessarily call it creative, but it is a gem.
  14. can someone please give the family friendly version of Riske's thoughts as he exited? please be creative. thank you.
  15. i have the same question as chad. thought it was 3 runs. did they change the stat rule?
  16. And That, glad someone else caught that Urb lovin'. sheesh. i feel dirtyand really good about myself at the same time.
  17. any word from Uke or Jim about Sheets? or will they deal with it on the post-game show?
  18. a loophole in the rules and i'm birthday suit in some circles. whew. and i probably would have been standing there at the counter for awhile as everyone tried to figure out what in the H a coors party ball was. i like my couch.
  19. if he strikes out the side i am streaking down to the convenience store to grab a coors party ball.
  20. yost taking a page from larussa throwing a youngster to the wolves. i liked it. but now i'm nervous. walks two? get him out now.
  21. i'll take my coffey straight with a bruised shin, please. ouch. i'm sure it's not very dependable but the yahoo box score says ben sheets left game in 6th inning with a strained triceps. i'm sure they are just speculating.
  22. right on, marquette. i bet he does love weeks. can we trade sheets for phillips? inside voice.
  23. best case scenario - and we should know by the end of this game - is that the highly paid/educated trainers, given sheets' history, are taking extra precaution with any tightness whatsoever this early in the season. fingers crossed. counsell is fantfrickintastic. sometimes.
