[ Call the game now @#%$! ] What kind of language is allowed? The Brewerfan.net Fan Forums try to be a bit more civil than other venues. All of the main cuss-words are filtered out. If you see that a word you used is filtered out, please try to refrain from using that word again. Also, using creative spellings to avoid the cuss filter will result in warning, then dismissal. Bottom line, if you'd be uncomfortable talking to your neighbor's 10-year-old with the type of language you're going to use here, you should probably re-word your post.

[ Look for him in Arizona (maybe even Helena) this summer. Not often we see debut lines like that, even from the old DSL and VSL days. ] How on earth did the Orioles give up on this guy? Do we know if the Brewers paid them a king's ransom for his contract?

I'd just like to post a message of congratulations for Brewerfan.net's newest member: "Hammerin'" Henry James Ebert who was born on Thursday at 11:47 AM, to our very own Colbyjack and his wife. He's a healthy 7 pounds, 15 ounces, and looks like papa. Congrats!!

It's not free. It's just that people who had the audio package last year have access until April 1.

Over the past month, here are the statistics: Page views: 26747         ezSupporter page views: 4523 Posts: 308         Bandwidth (MB): 1121.420 So, currently 16.9% of page views are viewed by ezSupporters. That results basically in a 16.9% off the yearly renewal price. The yearly renewal price I believe is currently at $1,248... so that's about a $253 savings total, if my calculations are correct. The bottom line is that if you're a frequent lurker, it would really help if you registered for an account when you lurk. $12 a year is a bargain for all the Brewers info you can swallow, right? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

[ Just a random thought here, but it would be nice if there was a way to make the avatars on this site not blurry. It's so hard to find a pic that someone could even make out, so if there's a way to fix that on the new board that would be awesome. ] There's no real way to do that, other than to give users the ability to use a photo of ANY size as their avatar, and that's never a good idea. It all comes down to people finding pictures that they can re-size and have it look good as a re-sized picture.

Site registration: $12/year Server costs (main site): $50/month Server costs (fan forum): ~$100-120/month Blood pressure medication from dealing with people who make life difficult for me: TBD Don, don't dig a deeper hole. You really embarassed the site during the chat. Just drop it.

I'll be appearing from 10:35 to 10:47 AM on fanline tomorrow. I don't believe they have internet audio, so only local listeners will be able to hear.

We're going to be heavy on all sorts of moderator functionality, include ignore capabilities for users. As I start to implement things, it may be that there are things that are technically not feasable (that might require too much memory or processing power and can't handle load testing), so I won't make any promises... but i'm going to build it from the ground up using our forum here and its shortcomings to drive the new forum.

[ I would like to be able to click a small icon or something to go directly to the last post in a thread. ] Would the icon be at the forum level (i.e, next to the title of the post in the list of titles of each post) or at the thread level (at the top of the thread)? I suppose we could make the "last comment" timestamp in the last column a link to the last comment if it's the former. If it's the latter, we make it at the top of the thread.

Just wanted to give everyone here a heads up that brewerjamie15 is now "employed" as the Dir of Public Relations. He will be officially in charge of coordinating events and pimping us out to the public.
