  1. Locking this thread down to avoid confusion/cardiac arrest.
  2. Yeah, as much as I like Kenny Lofton, I'd rather the team find another infielder.
  3. Even though I'm sure he's fresh, I wonder how long it would take to ramp up getting him in baseball shape. My other question would be, how do you remove from the 25-man to make room for him?
  4. I'm no doctor, but when you wake up feeling like trash, either you did something to deserve it, or you're not healthy.
  5. Did someone here lead you to believe that the Brewers won't keep any expensive arbitration-eligible players?
  6. It's validating that you're not a script/program someone wrote that could generate votes as fast as their server could process.
  7. Harden complained of a "dead arm" after the start before his last. I wonder if Beane decided to play hot potato, here. If Harden's healthy though, the Cubs got a heck of a deal. A's were seemingly fleeced here. As both a Brewers and an Athletics fan, I'm less than thrilled.
  8. XM review: - sunglasses at night as bumper music to start the segment with clips of Jim & Bob calling home runs - Dibble talking about Corey Hart (the musician) references - Now he has a Corey Hart (the musician) poster in his garage - Dibble says some guys don't want to do "the tour" to get nominated, has respect for Corey .. Corey leads the NL vote - Corey says he might never get the chance again to be an all-star, so why not - players have been voting for him in the clubhouse - Corey talks about the excitement regarding CC... small market team picking up the big guy... - Corey's response to Dibble saying Sabathia hit the back of the bullpen with a HR: "Jesus!" - Dibble talks about the Corvette factory in Bowling Green - Corey responds that he now lives in AZ, but grew up 10 minutes from it - Kennedy talks about Corey's dad being a competitive softball player - Dibble asking about JJ's hot streak - Corey doesn't recall seeing a guy as hot as JJ is right now - Kennedy talking about Ryan Braun hitting tape-measure blasts in S/T - Corey mentions Braun's work ethic - Dibs asks how many SB's corey wants... "25 would be a good number" - Dibs wants him to go for 30/30 - Kennedy talks about days with Skaalen back at San Diego State and in the minors - Corey: Skaalen not about the mechanics, tries to work with what you do ... doesn't try to change you too much
  9. "It is what it is" Is that the new thing?
  10. Corey on XM with Dibble and Kennedy comin' up...
  11. Once an ACL's repaired, it's good as new, stability-wise. The things limiting Gallardo are his strength, flexibility, and the fact that he hasn't been pitching. My wife had her ACL reconstructed in March. Her strength and flexibility were really close to 100% in a couple of months. Pain's still an issue for her, but that's because they had to rip out her patellar tendon instead of using a tendon from a cadaver like most ACL's these days are done.
  12. The beat writer for the Tribune was just on XM and admitted that they don't have the prospect firepower the Brewers had to go after CC or perhaps even land Harden. They mention that they could deal Sean Gallagher, Kevin Hart, and some other lower level prospects (in more of a quantity for quality deal) for Harden.... but said that more realistic targets were Randy Wolf and AJ Burnett. I don't think Maddux would waive his no-trade to go to Chicago.
  13. More Yo talk today ... Will Carroll was on XM today and mentioned that Gallardo was throwing from 45 feet.
  14. I'd give up Luis Pena and Hernan Iribarren for him, throwing in a Brent Brewer if they required it.
  15. To be fair, they didn't say I couldn't marry her, they just said that they couldn't give me their position. Talk about an uncomfortable conversation, yeesh.
  16. ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344" allowScriptAccess="never" > Sick.
  17. I had more fun following the Brewers when they were crappy and there were no expectations. While I appreciate all of the dollars the bandwagon fans bring in, it's annoying when you're wearing some form of Brewers-related apparel, and people start talking to you about surface-level Brewers stuff.
  18. Usually, jokes are funny. But then again, I'm not Korean.
  19. ">" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344" allowScriptAccess="never" > ????
  20. I asked my then-girlfriend's parents permission, and they wouldn't give it to me. I married her anyway. Brian 1, Them 0.
  21. My guess is that he won't to avoid some injury risk.
