If there is a gain in an extra season of control to gain by waiting a month then so be it! The Brewers should send him money if they have to and bet on him in a contractual way in my opinion. Trying to bet on pitchers is Vegas table odds but Yoho has a nice deck stacked in his favor . Why does he gain a year of control if they wait until a month though?

Bauers belongs here. We cannot give up on that guy by cutting him . We do not have to. he is not on the 40 man roster and is signed to a Minors deal so there would be 0 value in waiving him. Margot cannot be a serious signing and I have 0 issue with that obvious cut but They won't be cutting Elvin Rodriguez the other bullpen pitcher from Japan . That guy has massive juice and looks like a massive find in the scheme of things. I am all for cutting Carlos Rodríguez though. That guy has no place in MLB play anytime soon if ever. I find watching him pitch feels much like watching cats getting run over with each pitch. Watching someone struggle that much every single pitch is frustrating stuff. Do not believe Abner Uribe is a very good pitcher for the opening day bullpen roster and think he needs to have some healthy time playing AAA ball at a high level before you try him up at this point and there are just better options from this Bullpen roster than that guy. I would not hate it if he stayed in AAA all 2025. The guy needs the work in a less MLB setting because he is not hitting his pitches just like last season. Every pitch Craig Yoho pitches in AAA seems like a waste of his ability . I wish things were just about playing the best players but there are more than that going on with so many good bullpen pitchers in the way of the guy. He should be on the roster from now until the day he leaves here even though he won't . I like most of the roster. Capria not so much as I have seen the guy play for so many season for so many franchises now that believing in him as anything but AAA level player is beyond my scope. I do not believe Pat gives up on Mona that easy either and has a soft spot for his platoon guy that will keep him around for a bit longer. good roster prediction though.

The Message is now clear. We want everyone to be happy to wait ..YOU ALL Wait on Yoho and like it ! They have been trying to hide the guy on the least televised outings of Spring it seems to keep him from being seen by the fans who would be very loud about him being on the roster right now had they gotten to see him pitch in Technicolor. Hard to get highlights of the pitchers on Yoho games seems to the the theme of the 2025 spring games. They cannot hide it much longer because the secret is very much out on Craig Yoho.

I was not posting to you . I do not know how I got into your post at all. I was not responding to your message at all .I am sorry that happened. Somehow it posted me to your topic when I was commenting on a completely different post. Glitch city. I am sorry that happened. I bet it was a weird response to your post. Sorry about that I do not know how that happened at all. -

what was that evaluation in the first place? I like everything the young players have done this spring and think the players the Brewers have in A-AAA are the best group in baseball. Why he thought to smear that group after they have had a wonderful Spring so far seems disconnected from the reality of what we have cooking here. -

The MLB TV ranked him #8 best Center Fielder in the NL last month. So I believe you and many who evaluate think the same things. I think 30 steals maybe not in his game but the 40 home runs is. I have not seen him as much of a baserunning master just yet so I am not willing to give him that. However if he stays healthy we are looking at a guy who can put up MVP numbers for the team. -

I think he has pitched in one of those split games . I believe he has pitched . I do recall it this past week or two but a pitcher can come in in Spring for one pitch and never come back . So I think he is just being overlooked . Not that he has any issues. -

I think someone needs to post the entire 3 innings work . he was as good as Sasaki was the other night in his first action. Mis showed out. He hit his Curveball too with no issues all night. Mis was great in this game and left me wanting more . The only story which made Mis less in this game was Yoho . Yoho made the back of the lineup in this game look silly. Mis looks like a starter to me. No bullpen! -

Misiorowski was as impressive tonight as Sasaki was for the Dodgers in his first MLB action . His breaking ball was dropping similarly to how Sasaki's splitter(movement) and he was dynamic and in command of every tool he used. He left me wanting to see WAY more and seemed to just be heating up when his turn was over. I am super happy he put one of his best games together for a spring game so those who have not seen it this good got that chance. He was Superman tonight for 9 AB. I see nothing but it getting even more dialed in by the end of the 2025 season and could be a starter here just in time for the pitcher purge of 2026. I do not want Mis tied into a bullpen only role just yet. Koenig is still the best pitcher no one ever talks about. The guy is glue here. I love watching him pitch. Typical game for him with disaster all around him that he did not cause. He is still awesome. Pratt looks for real on defense and offense, He will be fast tracked and his 2027 projections might go out the window instantly. He is much too good for Low A League and I would bet he plays himself into AAA before 2025 is over. He looks like a huge score for the Brewers whenever he gets MLB ready. Sal and Garrett Mitchell are playing the game like baseball is easy. Mitchell looks like he knows which pitch is about to be thrown before its pitched at the plate. Healthy duo that can have a lot to do with big outcomes here this summer! Spring training this season has been pitcher fun. The Brewers are not hurting for pitching! -

Pratt up He is more exciting than he has ever been . Why I hate reporting on pitchers in Farms. They always say thing like 2 pitch pitcher when the truth is the system is making them work on a couple A pitches to perfect and not that these pitchers do not have the ability to throw more and always seem to when they make the big call up. -

If you are not in the lucky group of fans who can see it right now . Misiorowski is dialed in tonight. This is the OTHER Mis all of us talk about when people complain about his rough outings . He looks like game on Mis tonight! ENJOY ! -
I think he was the HERO of the Brewers 2024 season and no one says so. When we were without him we struggled from the Pen until he was back . He is the glue that holds everything together. He has to add nothing to his game to be that super piece the Brewers need . I love the guy. He gives batters fits.

Never take what the Yankees did not do as a reason for a player to hold value . the are a strange place in pro sports. I assume you were in the group who said we got nothing good for Corbin Burns and that Joey Ortiz DL Hall were a waste of time(Hall may be) ? Anytime there is a trade there is one specific group of Brewers fans who seem to HATE that player we get no matter who he is and I am telling you to chill and let this one play out because we got a STUD ! This was a deal everyone should be excited about because Durbin is the most MLB ready prospect they have picked up in a long long time in trade and he is a difference maker who is not in need of seasoning to be good like Joey O was in 2024. The Yankees did not call him up last season because the entire mission with Durbin was to build him into a Trade piece. They made sure whenever he made the news to let the rest of baseball hear it and if they had called him up last season they would not have been able to trade him off so easy. The Yankees Fans would have fallen in love with him if he had played so that would cut off their hands in a trade situation later. Losing his Option status by activating him also devalues him as a trade piece and the Yankees were always planning on trading Durbin so they were not going to call him up to complicate the trade value he had. Think of the names of players that franchise has traded away. Jay Buhner,Mike Lowell, Tyler Clippard, Ken Phelps, Fred McGriff, McGee, Drabek, Leiter, Rijo, Tewksbury, JT Snow and Caleb Durbin makes the list longer because he is going to have massive success in the MLB for the next decade plus. The list is so much longer than this . . The Yankees are famous for trading away future All Stars and HOF players. It is kind of a team model there. WE scored bigtime with Durbin. He was a PRIZE to acquire for an Closer who we had 0 chance of keeping beyond 2025. I love that we got Durbin this offseason. I think when you see him playing fulltime you will change how you see him. Caleb Durbin however fits here on this team better than every other team in baseball. What he offers the Brewers is the same value as Sal Freilick with the 1st pick in a draft without the draft. Durbin is a fully grown MLB ready player who we did not have to train up to get there and he fits here so well there can only be excitement about his future here.

preach! The people who always say things are "not possible" about anything are usually wrong in the end so if we see him start someday we can say to those who doubted "towadaso!" if he never starts then that is more than okay too. He is really good in that pen though . I get the reasons why people do not want to try it out with him but I still want to see if he can do it someday.
-
I think that is like believing in time travel. I think the difference in starting and long relief is not that much of a difference. I think he could be the most durable pitcher ever from here till he retires. I can say that with the same surety that he cannot do it. Each pitch is a mystery for the future of any pitcher, I think it would come down to what Hudson believes he can do more than any one opinion on things anyways. I like Hudson as a starter in theory and always saw him as a future starter in the MLB but things do change in a players career . Plus he is awesome in the Bullpen so either way it's a win. I just like watching him pitch.

He sure looks to have the things we value as Brewers fans . Durbin really is an exciting player from the bit I have seen of him so far. Oliver Dunn and Vinny Capria have also been really stand outs of the short Spring. Monasterio is not playing worse than the rest either. Nestor is great and will be a big reason we have a great rotation in 2025 but Caleb Durbin has to be the prize in the end if the Williams trade is to be equally valued by both teams. He looks well on his way . I think he looks like Sal but with more power and an even smaller strike zone should find bases with regularity. Great article. Thanks for sharing !

Not just Vinny with a bat in his hand but the defensive has been better than I remember. His throwing arm is much better than I remember and he can play 3rd without a doubt after seeing him throw with ease across the corners. Durbin looks even better as a hitter. He and Vinny side by side have near the same swing and you can see Caleb swings harder with a higher bat speed . The defensive nod between the two of those players is neck and neck . I think Vinny can be a replacement for Mona if the Brewers want to go that route but Durbin can easily be an active starting weapon nightly for the Brewers and looks like a Sal with more pop to me(so far) . I think it is this amount of competition that explains the lack of need to shop for lost toys in 2025 offseason that is for sure. Dunn makes it all even that much more interesting. Good problems to have in all ways.
-
It is hard not to think he will be passed up by the group behind him right now but this guy has the sticking power of velcro . I am not about to count out one of Murphy's guys to stay on the roster but it has to break at some place one would think. There are a lot of young players who should be playing pro baseball in this group and they look like they have a level above the stallworth backup and can do more than he can and have the chance of getting better . . . Are they better players than Monasterio ? Maybe . However the majority of this group behind him have something Mon will never have.. The ability to become starter level or even Star level. I think whichever way the Brewers go with this decision it is the right move. Many Spring games to go. Things will become more clear as we get closer to summer.

Long article . I Respect Long form writing more than subdued short informationless posts that have no context. Good article. As for the topic .I think this push to metric everything and giving it to the fanbases at large may just be destroying the last bits of Magic left in pro baseball. "Just Win Baby"

Willy has had a quiet Spring for the Giants to date until he showed out today for them. 2-4 with 3 RBI and a Home Run off a downward breaking ball . WE will miss Willy here but I can also say I am excited for the players who will be following him into that SS role here. Good Luck Willy! I hope you hammer everything you see over there and San Fran does not corrupt him all that much ! He was the funnest player the Brewers have had in ages and it had almost 0 to do with his on field play. Willy was a joy to watch play the game because of how he chose to interact with the fans and the opposing team . Not to mention constant hijinx with teammates which made him a legendary Brewer who could also play this game at a Star level. Nothing but love for Willy Adames.
