  1. Same place Contreras and Yelich . Playing golden Tee in the locker room. Stop asking questions you do not want answers to. Lol. If he is not out there I think the rift between he and Murph has not gotten better this offseason. We may never see Black . Oliver Dunn however ... NICE! Craig Yoho(game #2) VERY NICE!
  2. WE told you Oliver Dunn was a BEAST ! 3 for 3 with a Tanker . Dunn answers the questions in a way no other player stepping up could . Dunn is a good player.
  3. I wish they named yoyo tricks because that would be a way into naming this thing but they do not do this. The Yoho YoYo. There has to be a better name. haha. Well we will come up with something that fits.
  4. 7:40 in the Video is when you see Yoho pitching. This is a call to ALL Brewers fans out there ! Help me out please? When people tell you Yoho has an "Airbender" they are really saying that because they cannot describe his pitch in normal terms. I am having trouble in that regard myself. It is a VERY special pitch much like that Devin Williams special. However Williams "Airbender" is a group of pitches that are his entire identity and they are very different than the wild Jedi Mind Trick pitches Yoho is throwing. Devin Williams has even taken up the name "Airbender" meaning himself so we cannot use the same term for the pitch Yoho throws to be fair to Williams(He might even have Airbender Trademarked) . So if we cannot call Yoho's pitch the same name we fans must come up with a new name and I think this could be a fun exercise for fans to figure out here. I would love to hear names from everyone out there who took a look at his version of the Airbender and see if we can come up with a name that gives the pitch the respect it deserves alone with its own identity that is not infringing on another player who already dawns that name. Let me hear what you think that pitch should be named. I am super excited to hear anyone ideas and there are no dumb ideas! No fear of being shamed or called silly for your suggestions I just want to hear what everyone can come up with out there. My horrific and very untalented attempt . The Yo-Yo .. Yup I said I was having trouble .. I know you out there can do so much better than that. Let me hear it.
  5. Those who cover Rattlers,Catfishes,Shuckers and well Sounds. These talking heads love to talk about prospects. They just do not seem to have anything to say about Shears.
  6. you are FAST ! good work!
  7. Deep cuts here. Very sleeper. Almost hibernation for some in fact.
  8. So say Freddy goes off this season. Say he throws top 5 in pitching or even produces a Cy young vote or two. Where does that put his value ? Does one season of uptick in production really matter that much to a team willing to trade for a pitcher or do clubs value the season closest to the trade more than the overall body of work?
  9. Is his extra season worth more if we traded him now? Would that increase his value on the market to have more than one season left under contract than Burns? Thanks for your time.
  10. 77% (MLB.com) of all MLB injuries take place off the field and in practices. So much for trying to be jovile and funny . I guess there is a major lacking sense of humor in 2025. Sorry you did not get the the joking nature of the post which was my point and why Thunderdome was included.. Sorry I offended you for bringing it up though. I was trying to make light of the situation and bring up very real problems MLB baseball is dealing with . Here are some more stats to support the issues. Practice injury is up from 1998 in numbers that boggle the mind . Most of those injuries happen in practice and not in games. So making the point is not outside questionability and taking up the issue is in no way offensive but you do you man. During the 1998 season, the total cost of paying players on the injured list (IL) and paying replacement players was $136 million for all 30 MLB teams. by 2015 it had increase to $7.6 BILLION . In 2025 we are almost at projected $11 BILLION in replacement players investment after injury. So yes .. There is a MASSIVE uptick in injury happening in practices from where it used to be and it is costing teams a lot of money and wins as well as costing players careers. . Gotta ask though .. why does it offend you that someone wants to correct the problem or have a conversation about this honestly? I mean it kinda felt a bit like you are pretending this is not a thing when it is very much a issue in 2025 for all of modern baseball? I am just trying to find out what the issue is and why injury in practices have jumped over 5,488% between 1998 and 2015. Then jumping by that amount again between 2015 and 2025? That is a real issue. I don't get why it would make you upset with someone bringing it up though . Or am I reading your post incorrectly here? I wasn't trying to be offensive and apologize if that is how it sounded.
  11. Blake Perkins is one of my favorite Brewers. I truly love watching him play ball ball and think he has so much more to offer this league moving forwards. Losing him to a Batting practice seems like it should not be possible in 2025 but instead of the game becoming safer in the modern age we hear time and time again that players are being injured in these meaningless moments way more than they ever get hurt in games. What is going on with live Batting practice these days? It seems a majority of injuries that teams deal with come in these practices and we can only imagine that playing catch has now become Thunderdome somehow and it simply makes 0 sense. Junis was smoked in the head last year and it took the steam out of his Brewers season and his lack of need here got him traded before the 2024 season was done instead of him being a big part of the rotation as was the plan preseason for him here. Now it Blake who got injured during these apparently dangerous practices. He got hit in the shin by a ball off a bat and it fractured his Right leg. I do not know what the deal is with these practices. I remember being part of this type of practice and it leaves me thinking there is a way different form of how they do it at the MLB level to bring this many injuries to the stage. I mean no one gets hurt in games anymore and we hear with lot of players they got major injuries when there's nothing to be putting players bodies on the line going on at those times. Why are these practices so dangerous in the modern era of baseball? How can being hit with a ball in the leg cost a young player his opening to his season with no real explanation. Just another practice casualty who is going to miss every game until May now because of a ball hitting him in the shin. There has to be a better way to protect players in practices and still get the level of training needed to get ready for the Bigs and the games within. I watched little Sal smash into a all metal window frame just before the playoffs last season and he never missed a beat and was one of this teams best playoff hitters. If he can take that and still play through it how can a ball hitting a leg end the spring training Blake needs to be the player he is becoming. No one needs more work in the batting cages more than Blake and missing this time now is not good for him or his development. May is a long time to wait to get back to baseball and Blake missing the entire Spring where swings and batting is able to be worked on without consequences. I expected a big jump in Blakes bat in 2025 and now I fear that jump is going to have to wait and it could cost Blake more than just a few months before the 2025 season . With Garrett Mitchell showing up in 2025 with a clean bill of health makes Blake less valuable to the Brewers. Garrett Mitchell is the real deal and standing on the cusp of legendary output. If he has no competition at Center field that closes the door on letting Blake develop in the MLB center fields of the regular season. This is great for Mitchell who is going to light the world on fire this season with health of his own but it cannot be seen as anything but detrimental as far as where Blake fits in now. Hopefully this 4-5 weeks off his feet will allow him to work on his swing while he rest his shin . I want nothing but the best for Blake and we need him at his best even with Mitchell in Center playing top end ball. So get better Blake!
  12. Freddy Peralta Trade Value Trade value on the open market is 19.56 which ranks him 16th among starting pitcher's and 73rd overall. His maximum trade value within the past 60 days is 21.47. The grading scale here is not my own so I really do not understand their metric but I do understand value and Freddy has it. His age and lack of serious injury make him a rare bird as things go in modern pitching. So I can present a tiny overview of value when it comes to what Freddy could bring in trade when the time comes. What does that mean? I dunno but it sounds really nice. Freddy is worth 16th best pitcher in trade value and 73 in total player value in all the MLB apparently. However from what I research is they MLB values Freddy on the level of Garrett Cole(19.82) and Corbin Burns(18.53) If the market says Freddy is worth what The Brewers got for Corbin Burns then the haul in acquired talent should look about the same when Freddy is traded and that time is coming close. They may pull a Willy Adames and let him play out his contract through the 2026 season and take the loss as they did with Willy. Do not count on that though because unlike Willy his trade value is miles more than Adames held in his last season as a Brewer and the Crew have more in place to replace Freddy than they had in place to replace Willy Adames. This to me ensures that trading him has to be the plan moving into the last part of his Brewers contract. The Brewers acquired Star 3rd baseman and Shortstop Joey Ortiz, Constantly injured disappointment yet flamethrowing left hand hurler DL Hall, and 1st baseman Blake Burke the prospect ranked 65 in MLB and 35 best prospect in the Brewers system as of the time of this forum post. If the Brewers can get that kind of return on Freddy the entire Freddy Peralta project can be seen as nothing but one of this franchises most successful Pitching development success stories. We are not going to be moving him this season unless some pitcher needy team offers way more then Freddy is worth in trade but if that team is out there and has a package the Brewers think is irresistible bait they may just gulp it down. Trading Freddy is going to be a bitter pill to swallow. No pitcher the Brewers have ever had a more homegrown feel than Fastball Freddy and when he is gone we are all going to miss him. To me he seems like a guy born here. A player God chose to be a Brewer and when his time is up we all will feel his loss. Signed out of country in 18' yet it somehow feels longer and like he has been here the whole time. However that should not discourage us as fans to not think of what kind of Gems can be acquired when trading off a piece this talented. Baseball makes player movement inevitable. So dreaming of the things to come from those trades is not a bad way to get past the hurt of losing our favorite players to the market. In fact it is the only way to feel good about these things so learn to lean into it Brewers fans. Freddy could even amplify the value he brings with a strong 2025 and could outperform the trade haul we got from Burns. If Freddy challenges for Cy this season his value should exceed Corbin Burns in my opinion. Burns being a Cy guy did not drive up his trade value but he was separated from that award by 2 season before the Brewers moved him. If Freddy had that type of 2025 his value in trade the following offseason would peak and be higher at the time of trade shopping which would maximise his value in a big way. Projecting Freddy to win Cy Young awards however has proven to be a practice in futility so far and everytime we do it Freddy goes the wrong direction on that front. Everyone watching his career believes that he can find an extra gear in his game which will elevate his national value in a big way. So there is still meat on this bone for him to get better unlike Burns who was maxed out as a player. Thinking a 8 year pro Superstar Starting pitcher still has a thread of growth left to give a franchise has to make him extra valuable when teams come calling but showing he has passed that developmentally state in his career can only maximize that lift in value. We cannot expect this and can only sit and hope he takes that step while in our rotation and not elsewhere after this coming move. I cannot tell you when Fred will be shipped off to Parts Unknown but like with Burns he will get moved in my opinion. I believe we will see him traded after the 2025 season is over (while we are polishing The 25' World Series Trophy) and before the 2026 affair kicks off. Trading him in season this year would be a major shake up and because of that and a simple lack of need to move him now there are no reasons to think the Brewers will even consider this in 2025. I do not see anything or anyone coming calling this year unless he somehow the Crew are injured up and down the batting order and have a whiff of the 25' season. If that tragedy happens you will see his name included in this years Trade deadline. I do not believe the Brewers will be in that position(thank the Gods) with any luck(knock wood, Salt over the shoulder.. all that) and it would take much more than a Corbin Burns type haul to get the Brewers to move him this early. So from worth 0 to the biggest trade prize in just one Dog Year is amazing and we are all lucky to have been part of his career and should have nothing but love in our hearts for Fastball Fred.
  13. GO BREWERS! LOVE THIS TEAM! GOODBYE MR BOB that last call will haunt us forever.
  14. If anyone of you out there have read my ramblings over the past couple months for the most part my message has always been one of extreme positivity. My goal through 2024 when I saw what I believed to be a roster of players who are young and about to step into a quality of baseball that can beat the 2025 Dodgers . I wanted to stay on message and try to bring the fanbase together in a way this fanbase is not accustomed to. Coming from the Packers as a writer about them I was knocked down at the lack of unity when it came to Milwaukee Baseball within our own ranks. What i see as a huge roadblock to winning is a fanbase that wants to win but is afraid of buying in because of the amount of time they have been hurt by loses. The Brewers took the soul of many Brewers fans and has not given it back . What I wanted more than anything was us as fans to come together like never before and buy in to the idea that the Brewers prospects are mostly going to bring batting numbers to 2025 that only come from a champion and a rabid and completely bought in fanbase . Which in my mind is the only way for a team to carry a .300 average which I believe is a possibility with this group unbelievably . Touching on that magic place in sports where the fans are so committed to winning it seems our combined energy can push wins across the table that would not come without us. Reasons for winning outside of players on the field is a thing of sports legend. It is based on fairytale and magic myths but it is a very real thing about the game of baseball . Magic is real in this sport but only if the fans have committed to the team on a level that is almost not mentally sound. I spent every single day since game 3 fighting back online against the fans who were saying "same ol' Brewers" "Spend more money". I did this not because I am a crazy person who is a glutton for punishment but someone who is doing this because I want the Brewers fan to get to feel that feeling that only comes from winning with a team of destiny. That is all still my mission and I truly want the Brewers fanbase to follow me into the 2025 season with the biggest chip on their shoulders and with fire in all their bellies to use to smoke out wins at every turn. I want nothing but cheering for EACH player no matter our feelings about them long term because these young players with all of us supporting them with 0 negativity would only make the fringe talent legitimate and the borderline Star grow up that much faster. Together as a united fanbase we can bring the Brewers current roster of players to believe in an outcome they might not believe in if they were not so overwhelmed by bold and loud support by each and every fan who is keeping track of these games. I think the Brewers are very close to having a Shock the World roster here. Young guys who are on the cusp of being GREAT . When a united fanbase give up negativity and really support and LOVE the roster the Brewers field those young players will get a major boost from US . When the fans do not demonize them for every small error and help them keep their confidence up by cheering them and openly supporting their playing time no matter what those players feed off that . Especially young players who have yet to become worshiped like established Stars. All this being said about 4 days ago now I lost my mind when our fearless leader said the Brewers winning World Series was optional . I do not appologize for being offended by his statements. He should have not said such stupid things this close to the season start. However I also let what he said get me off mission and really mouthy about the guys statement. I should not have done that because what he said means nothing when it really gets diagnosed as far as my belief in this team's ability to win baseball games. It may not be in his job description but it is in mine and because of that I owe anyone who read me this week an apology. I am sorry fans and I won't go that far negative again moving forwards. I am seriously not that guy who believes this team is not holding enough value to win and I don't even think the Brewers are behind the $ Clubs so I have no reason to ever go that negative. What I said was a reaction to something someone said that I did not agree with. Childish and angry I yelled about it online and I really feel silly about it. Brewers fans we have a job to do this season. We have a really good team here. We have a team who can beat the Dodgers if we all come together and BELIEVE. WE can beat the $ and the Owners take by simply getting your buddies to cheer for this team who may have given up on the Brewers in the past. Help the rest of the fanbase feel good about believing in a team that has let them down time and time again in the past. If we all cheer for this team louder than we ever have . If we attend games with no days off , If we help these young players know they are wanted and LOVED .. If we do these things we have a steak in the outcome of this season and we all can end this season with a World Series to rub in Big Matt's face when the smoke clears. I LOVE you all fans ! I love you and want you to know I feel your pain as much as anyone . I have been here the whole time with all of you and have been gutted by Brewers loses the same way you have so I understand if you are one of the skeptics . I am asking you all to put that skepticism aside this season and let your inner Brewer run wild. If at the end we get our heart hurt again at least we can say there was this one season where the fans came together around the baseball team and saw if that was enough to push this team over the edge. I love this Crew and I love this fanbase and I just want ALL of us to feel what it is like to win this thing. The Brewers winning a Series would make joy fall around us all like nothing we have ever felt. I know we can do it ! I know I can do better when writing about this team and you all out there who have taken the time to read me have my word moving forwards that my commitment to win this season is unmovable and I will stand with you as long as you do the same for our Crew! I hope to see you this summer ! I am the guy on Bark at the Park night with the 3 basset hounds. you cannot miss us if you show up for that event . IF you find us at the game and say hi and Go Brewers and I will buy you a very overpriced beer so you can get the show started and cheer for this Crew on the highest levels. GO BREWERS! Go Brewers fans ! I am sorry and won't let you all down ever again.
  15. That pitch is evil . I hope he had it when he gets out of the Tommy thing . What is the overall Brewers thinking on him? They talk about everyone they have but have said almost nothing about this guy. I like that knuckleler thing.
  16. Do they use him as a bullpen guy or a starter?
  17. Man Joey Weimer? They are not alike. I really want you to know that without a shadow of a doubt. I really have scouted Black at nauseum. He is one of the Brewers prospects you can get a bunch of AAA at bats to see. Tyler Black is NOT even remotely bad. There is WOW in his bat. There really is . He has that Freddie Freeman like ability to hit pitches he has no business hitting and hitting them well . YES! I just compared Tyler Black to Freddie Freeman and was completely serious. Someone who has watched Black a lot out there can and should back me up on this one. When Tyler Black is hot and on his game without distraction he is better than most batters in the entire MLB and can hit most types of pitchers including super heat throwers. Tyler Black has a way of getting his barrel on inside pitches which is where I see him most like Freddie Freeman. check out this video at the 2:08 mark and you will see a Freddie Freeman special . His 2024 was not what he usually puts up but Tyler Black is the opposite of Joey Weimer. They are not comparable.
  18. Agreed. I am also not writing off that Joey could put his big boy pants on and become a very good MLB player within the next several seasons . There is a ball player in that guy just itching to come out. Tyler Black however is miles ahead of anywhere Weimer was in development. Weimer was a skilled mess . Black is almost overly disciplined. Whoever chose to put Weimer into the MLB when they did was a dice roll they really had to take that season. That roster was desperate for hitters who could play outfield. Black held back more by lack of open positions to defend in the MLB. Do not let the people who are already stripping Black out of his uniform. I think when he gets his real shot at this game he will be a success. I think that is what all the waiting has been about with the guy.
  19. I really think you are overlooking Tyler Black over his time in AAA. He is super boring. He brings a .270-.280 hitter. Rhys Hoskins is one of the most average players of all time. He just made big hits when things mattered most to get his brand built. Black on the other hand has all the tools to be a really nice hitter . I think he can be a 25-30 homer guy too. He has a great eye at the plate and when that all clicks in the MLB he should be a overall better player than Hoskins and if he finds himself clutch in big moments the other ratios you used to dump on him will not mean very much. He is way better than you believe.
  20. What is your issue with Tyler Black? I think the only problem with Tyler Black is that Tyler Black is not playing MLB ball and needs more reps in the Bigs. Tyler Black is a good player who can become above average I believe. He needs work without electronic eyes so he can learn that last 10% hitters learn above AAA. Tyler Black had a shockingly bad intro season with us last year. I mean for a big prospect with juice we have not seen a major flop out of the rookies of the past 2 season. Blacks 2024 would be seen as bad at the MLB level with very few chances to get right he hit okay. He tooks strike he should have swung at several times but did make good contact on a handful as well. His first night went about as well as one could hope with parents calling his basehit cherry pop. After that though it seemed he did something in Murphy's eyes that rubbed him the wrong way. There was tension between Manager and player that you could feel whenever the topic of Tyler Black came up with Murphy in interviews. Tyler Black was not comfortable at all and it made him play tight and you could see it when he was up with the big league Brewers. If being better than Hoskins is the gauge for what makes Black valuable to the Brewers I think Tyler Black has a way higher ceiling than Hoskins. I believe when he establishes himself in the Bigs you have a guy who can bat from .250-.280 every season and give you 25 ish homers on a normal year. That would blow the career of Rhys Hoskins out of the water. Hoskins is not known for being a very good defensive 1st base either and I do not think Black is any worse at 1st in ability than is Hoskins. I might even give the nod to Tyler in that regard. Tyler Black is over spoken about as a bad defender. I get why they say it in reporting but when I watch the guy play he looks like a rooster on a barn beam when he stands out there at 1st but I do not see horrible defense that is so bad he cannot play 1st well. It is more of a look thing in my eyes. He just stands around funny and holds his glove up like a weirdo on the bag. It makes him look kinda Caveman but he makes it work for him . I too both wish and believe Hoskins will have a much better 2025 if healthy. But to expect him to be any better than his career .240 AVE with 20-30 homers is probably a reach. A good Hoskins season has him knocking clutch shots all season long but even when that happens his Average rarely climbs above .250 . If Tyler Black is let have at 1st base ( I do not believe Ownership saying he is on 3rd and that fixes the infield..He is not a 3rd. ) or at least the nights Hoskins DH as a constant player I have no issues believing Tyler can hit better than Hoskins and carry and really help this team keep points crossing home. I like Tyler Black and with time I think fans will warm up to him.
  21. Still some of the best video there is of Shears pitching and it simply is not good enough to know anything much about Tanner Shears. I hear promising things but in truth he is one of the guys I know the least about. Tanner Shears is said to have a big weirdo pitch now in the Minors and I would like to see it. Anyone out there have any place to see him pitch a few innings?
  22. Who were the 8 teams ahead of us if you know offhand?
  23. Agreed . I think he will get stronger as the season goes on. When he is on he is fun to watch and even more so that he is no longer a Yankee. He should be entertainment worth watching. I do not think he needs to uptick his speed . He knows what he is working with and they will help him get the most out of his stuff.
  24. I bet money he has his best season of his life with the Brewers in 2025. with good health of course but what his career needed was a Milwaukee tune up into the rest of his career. I think both parties will come out well on this season out of Nestor. I think with the Beard rocking the guys a going to have a under 3 ERA type season and really get his stuff dialed way better than his last two messy seasons. His last two years remind me a lot of the struggles Freddy went through in 2024. Things he can overcome with a touch here and there. I like this pick up more than many out there do. He makes the rotation diverse and flat out when he is on he is very fun to watch pitch. I am back now... Owners out of mind.
  25. Because what he says is the model for the entire franchise. If he believes winning is not important then every baseball season is just a show. the reality is who he hires and what he puts in place is gospel and if he says we do not need to win championships to stay relievent I am the one spending money to carry this team along with all of you who go to the games every night. If we are not spending money on a team trying to win championships what are we doing? I thought everything was in place to win here . I thought this team has a mission to beat the $ clubs and were building a baseball team full of young stars they thought could do that very thing. Then he said the team model out loud by mistake obviously and what he said changes everything . I do care that the team I invest myself into is focused on ONLY winning World Series. It should always be the only goal of a baseball team no matter the odds against them. He said as long as the team is making profit they do not need to win Series and its not even in his job description. I get why you do not want to hear what he said. I wish to God I had not. What he said however is very meaningful as far as Owners statement go. This is the first time covering sport I have EVER heard a team say they do not care about winning the biggest game in their sport. It has never happened before that I can remember.. The owner said the reason the Brewers exists is to make profit not win Series and that offended me. I believe it is because I was raised on Vince Lombardi. I cannot speak for why other people are upset but I assume they feel the same way I do about it. Had he said any other thing I would never have spoken about anything he said. He spoke the only words that could damage the brand in a bad way. I understand where you are coming from though . I really want to stay positive about it all and really like the 90% of the Brewers franchise as a whole. I think it is those smart people who keep this team profitable and winning on the level they are now winning at without a doubt. I am also sick to death of LOSING and losing with a good record is harder than losing with a bad baseball club. I never want to go back to the bad era . I lived through it and it sucked. 1969-2024 with no World Series. The only thing a club like this should be saying to the press is that "the only mission of the Brewers is to win a World Series" The owner can talk about his job description after that is accomplished and it won't be as offensive as saying it when this team hasn't gotten what most of the rest of baseball has. I am sorry I hate talking about this and in fact I do not have it in myself anymore. This entire thing bums me out to a level I cannot explain and I don't like bummers. Hopefully we see Cooper Pratt or Made make the entire thing seem dumb . I am sorry to bum anyone else out but this is a major news story that is being carried across many outlets.
