  1. Agreed ! It is the mess that no one can follow.. I cannot even believe the MLB can fathom who is going where much past the top 10 . One of the systems they could completely overhaul to make the teams who do not make the money of the top 4 teams is by making the Draft make sense. It is a mess of players and positioning that simply put makes no sense at all and should make sense. This is hard to follow or project which costs the MLB MILLIONS of dollars in revenue . Look no further than the NFL draft and where it has gone to see the best way to use the draft to profit the league. The NFL draft combine gets almost as much viewers as the Super Bowl in 2025. Every draft pick is well known by NFL fans to the point we can call 7th round picks for the Packers with regularity. Try prediction of baseball like that . Cannot be done. The MLB having a confusing mess of a draft is hurting baseball incomes. People would put more time into scouting prospects (at least in college) if the draft was easier to follow.
  2. Maybe we use the Sword of a Pirate . Then it has the whole Sword strikeout add to it . I like the Pirate thing . . Its super fitting. Call it "The Cutlass" or the " Swashbuckler" maybe the "Scallywag" Pirate themed is a vein that has massive potential .
  3. Green monster no question.
  4. He is a carrier .240 hitter with 20 homers a season he gets in high elevation. Oliver Dunn has all that and is a better runner on the bases already. There is 0 need to shop for players worse than are currently on this roster. McMahon has the luxury of hitting in Colorado and many of those runs are not home runs in any other place. I do not want this player on our roster getting in the way of the players who the Brewers have built for this moment. There is no need to take on more Rhys Hoskins type hitters. Streaky players when there are constant players ready for the MLB right now already on this roster. The Brewers do not have to make moves like this to be good. They just got Mark Canha who hits .240s the same as McMahon so the added .240 hitter is already on board. We do not need to give away good prospects for a player this average. I do not see Monesario as better but I do see Oliver Dunn as better and I also see About 3 others on the current roster that are just as good.
  5. It also gives him a starting pitchers tool box. Just saying.
  6. I wish I lived closer to Appleton. They always have stars there.
  7. I think he can carry a .300 + average and get near 1.000 OPS with a season of healthy luck. I see Mitchell as a player who can be like early Brewers career(and hopefully post back surgery) Christian Yelich good both with a bat and in the outfield. The Dude is definitely ready to have his breakout season. It should be really fun to watch this season.
  8. He looks like a better hitter than we could have hoped. POWER . The sound off his bat hits harder than the sound off Contreras bat. He might have the most solid power on the team. I am seeing him swing hard for the first time in reality and it impresses me. Sign me up for more of that!
  9. Oliver has a worse chase rate than Mitchell has the potential for. I agree with everything else you said about him though. Dunn is as much of a weapon as Mitchell and has had the same struggles with healthy as Mitchell has. They are comparable with Mitchell in the lead by a leg. I think Dunn has need of one more year in AAA but need puts him up earlier with the chance for struggle while Mitchell is on the cusp of Mega stardom. Dunn can help us in 2025 .Mitchell can lead us. That is the difference I see. They both need to prove they can stay healthy above all things to get where they belong in baseball.
  10. He is going to have a huge season this year if he stays upright. The guy is stepping into superstar level in 2025. I cannot wait to see him play this season.
  11. has anyone ever put together the top 100 Vs the actual outcome of the MLB draft? It seems like it is always wrong.
  12. Pitching crushes are setups for despair but I think your guy is a lot of peoples Draft crush. He has all the value you want from his positioning . I think if he keeps his game play at this level I do not see him slipping very far but we can all hope. If it happens I will buy you a beer because he is awesome. Gabe Swansen at the MLB Desert Invitational was the entire show . Well he and a pitcher who took one 106 MPH to the face Schoolcraft is a dream but he is a top 10 guy I am pretty sure. He only falls to us if the earth turns out to be flat and I am confident that evidence is not forthcoming. But we can dream.
  13. Some of the depth at Catcher here is amazes me. Cooper Pratt should be playing MLB ball THIS YEAR that is how good that guy is. Craig Yoho is the bullpen of the now. That guy has no business in minor league baseball and keeping him there is DUMB! Jesus Made is WAY overrated and is many YEARS from being good. The hype around him is hype. The truth is Cooper Pratt. The biggest stories of the Spring for me is Cooper Pratt and Yoho's YoYo pitches.
  14. Profit sharing in the NFL has made people a lot of money . It has also made it so no one believes that the games are not rigged. No one with honest eyes can watch the NFL anymore and actually say they believe this is an honest game. The thing about profit sharing is the league is in control of everyone now. Those markets are designed to be profitable when they are needed an boost to their franchises coffers. I do not think it is the worst idea in sports to share money as long as thumbs are not on scales to disseminate that cash. When sharing profits becomes normal so do manufactured outcomes so the unprofitable becomes more profitable in their market shares. So there are major downside to profit sharing in other sports and if implemented in Baseball the same way we can bet there is not going to be the outcome we all want from the practice. We need to remember that the second the NFL started profit sharing the game became near unwatchable . I do not want the same thing to happen in the MLB. There has to be a better way then rigging the league to make everyone more profits. So the proper system has yet to be devised but as long as this Commissioner is in charge here I highly doubt we actually get any meaningful change in the MLB that benefits anyone but the upper 10% of teams. He likes the system he has build and won't be coming off of it anytime soon and that is WAY bigger of an issue than Owners profits .
  15. Remembering their job is just to make their investment profitable is important. I think this is a topic that is not helping bring the fanbase together before a season and we should only talk about these things after the season is over as not to sully the coming seasons hopes and dreams. You are in no way wrong though.
  16. Well that is an intelligent take . I am glad it is not a mystery this is the way of the Rich. The one thing Rich people love most is more money.
  17. Or you could just listen to what they have to say even if you disagree with it and see if you can come to a conclusion both sides can live with. This is how friendships are formed from even the most outrageous posts . It is also how news is disseminated as long as you are not living in a small bubble of your own creation that is. Freedom is speaking freely and it is also learning how not to be offended by other people's ideas unless they harm you or others in someway. Adults speak to each other even if they disagree. Maybe save blocking people for when they use threats against others but leave the conversations open and unencumbered by censoring those you disagree with . We get nowhere as an fanbase or a country by blocking out the ideas we do not understand and listening to other people's ideas and the news they happen upon that you may not have is how conversations work. Adults do not block other adults for ideas and words. This is America. We all can speak here and because of that we should also listen. Go Brewers.
  18. The Bent Carrot . mmm . I think Craig may not like it so much but it fits! I love where you guys heads are at here though! Baseball is supposed to be fun after all! Thanks for that 2 cents.
  19. I think they also used this as a nickname for Hand Grenades in WW1 and WW2. I like it but making the public at large look up a history study to understand the pitches name could cut us off on this fine idea for a name. It is top 10 right now . I will gather all the names and list them at the end of this adventure and when we have a developed list we can choose which fits best. Thanks for your top notch idea. I really like it.
  20. You are not wrong there. I was not part of the late 1980s yoho revolution. I was around but was more worried about hunting female attention to pick up a yoyo seriously in that era of my life. So I missed that big moment in Yoho history. No we do not want to go from an Airbender to a Dog Walker. It is not terrible but we can do better . Thanks for posting though! I appreciate the history lesson in Yo Yo's very much.
  21. I know I said there were no dumb ideas and that is true and this it proof. The Penis just does not have the gravity or public appeal to take off as a famous pitch. I get where you are thinking but it also goes Left so there is an error in your thinking on that name but i simply love it! The Wang dang sweet ... Probably not family friendly enough either. Love the post though!
  22. I am hoping to name it before then but I get why you want to wait. He is destined for great things I believe. I think we should all be preparing for the Yoho era because it is fast approaching . Superstar pitching weapons like that YoYo pitch are rare enough to give them specialized names no matter where they are currently rostered. Thanks for posting .
