  1. I don't know the exact pricing, but assuming you see Gamel and Escobar by the end of the year, that will help it, if not, it will probably hurt value to some degree. It also depends on if it's all in the same colored ink, and possibly even same brand pen. (The presentation can look bad if there's different pens wth varying widths, coloring used). If the team makes the playoffs it goes up. I'm going to assume it's worth around 200. This might be lowballing it. How much is a Rawlings Big Stick signed by the entire 2008 team (including both Svuem and Yost) with Svuem inscribing "2008 Wild Card" under his name. Every player and both managers included their number. There is probably 28 total sigs on there. Braun, Fielder, Hardy and weeks is "the sweetspot" of the bat left the Rawlings logo. Sheets and CC side by side above it, and Yost underneath.
  2. Jamie, I think I'm on level 68 now. Start getting property as soon as you can, but save up for some of the higher end stuff. It's more worth your while. Value Mart or something. Once you start accumulating, you can get cash pretty quick. I'm making about 22 million an hour right now. What I found to be the best way to go about things as well, as to do jobs first, then start attacking/robbing after you run out of energy points. Stamina builds a lot faster than energy, and to do jobs, you need more energy than stamina(you can attack with only one point). As far as property goes, once you establish enough cash to buy the high end stuff, the price of each building will increase after every purchase. I try to buy in bulk. You can also do the math so that eventually you can buy mulitple cheaper properties that will give you more cash than saving up to buy one building. This may be kinda confusing now, but it'll come around for you. I tend to spend my profile points mostly on energy to reach higher levels faster, but make sure you maintain on attack and defense points, as people will ice you if you can't hold your own. On occassion I'll add to my stamina. You can climb the ranking ladder anyway you choose. It might be easiest to start and master all 3 levels at "street thug" before moving up. I didn't go that route, but it probably is easiest. My final word of advice, is just because there is a countdown clock there to tell you when you get more energy and stamina, don't let yourself watch the clock. take care of business and go make dinner or something, then come back to it. Otherwise you realize you spent an hour just watching a timer, like I did when I first started http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif add me on facebook, bikeage77 at yahoo dot com.
  3. The other reason, is pretty every manager ends up getting fired. I don't want to see my childhood heroes getting ragged on by the media, the fans, etc.
  4. Not a big hockey fan, but went to the Ad's game on Thursday night. Fun time, the crowd was very small though. I hope attendance picks up, only the corner of season ticket holders that start all the chants was into it. Good game too.
  5. Ice man for sure. "WHO WANTS TO PARTY?!" "You gotta wear gloves these are so cold!" Who was the announcer that would repeat last names in that kinda monotone voice? "Now batting Paul Molitor, Molitor"
  6. Has anyone else seen this? It's only 6 episodes this season but it's hilarious and produced by Will Ferrell. The premise is of a Mitch Williams/John Rocker type character now out of the bigs. You can find it on Surfthechannel.com
  7. ten bucks. totally worth it. unplayed too! he's got more there, along with Brewers Fever and Talking Baseball (for Brewers fans).
  8. two or three seasons ago i got a dollar dog on opening day, then on the next home stand, hot dogs were at 2 bucks. I asked a kid why they changed it, and he kinda snapped on me like "if you dont like it, i'll get the manager" I have a feeling he was answering that question a lot. I just thought it was silly to start the season at one price, then raise it only a few days later. I always go for the kiddie ice cream during the summer.
  9. ive never heard of this either...how do you know (while hiking, without pics) whats safe and whats poison? What will be great in a great meal, and what will make you want to listen to Phish. The latter is NOT of any interest to me whatsoever.
  10. Checked out All American...got a pack of Brewers gum, and FINALLY found the Keep Turnin Up The Heat 45. I got a Wes Helms mini there as well. Lots of neat stuff. He's a real nice guy to boot. I kinda felt bothersome though, only because nothing was marked, so I had to keep asking "how much is this, how much is this" Unfortunately, he didn't have access to any chairs. I'd like to find 2 someday, for reasonable cost, plastic or wooden.
  11. Having off of work this week for spring break, I was thinking of cruising around and hitting up local memorabilia shops. I know Jeff's is probably a good one. Is there pricing fair? I've heard lots of negative comments about Legends, and it's a drive, so I dont know if it's worth it. What are some of your favorite shops to check out? The only place I've really been to in the past few years was Price's at Southridge, and that was probably average, at best.
  12. I've gotten stuff done at both Atomic tattoos on North ave, and Custom tattoo on Farwell (kiddy corner to comet). Both do excellent work. Si is the man at Atomic who's done work for me and a few other people. They've got a nice enviroment, and if you want portraits done, he's phenomenal. Greg at Custom is also super good. He cracks jokes and holds a good conversation, so if it's your first time, it takes your mind off the needle. Most tattoo places now, especially on the east side are pretty competitive. I think they are all gonna have pretty good guys at it. Most of them are pretty ballpark as far as prices. The key is to tip your guy for their time, (15% is pretty standard, I think.) it helps in the future. It also is good to name drop a friend who's gotten work done there. That helps out your buddy in the future as well, and it might save you a few bucks on the spot as well. I will try to get some of my tattoos up in the next day or so.
  13. no doubt...one word: KARMA! I'm looking forward to seeing this, in the chance I miss it, do they replay this anywhere online?
  14. This may be more about trading forum, and I've tried to ride BHF about this, but if someone wanted to do a bobblehead site that is kept up to date, that would be great. BHF's initial one was great. It hasn't been updated in 2 years. A full discography of giveaway stuff would probably be extremely complicated, but probably not opposed to, even for non collectors. Agreed on the stats, glad to see that is coming back.
  15. BHF, you said you were goin to the hotel? I've never done that. Which Hotel and what times do you go there? I would only get balls signed, as I don't have much else for them, do most guys there sweet spot stuff? I'll have to check that out sometime. Then I can deal with G Rob and the posse.
  16. Anyone in there today? I want to go down there tomorrow, but based on the weather and success rate, I'm not sure if I will. I might go Tuesday if not tomorrow. All my bobbleheads I was thinking of getting signed are at my dads, and he rearranged things in his basement which would make it a long process to find the current players I'd want. I don't think we need updates everyday on this, but maybe just give everyone a heads up for the first few series to see where we're at? No point in everyone wasting time. Though I'd hope early in the season guys like Prince or Gallardo would come by and sign.
  17. there is another radio station that has traffic alert with a monotone guy, but that's something like 1180. that's what they have signs for on the freeway, we listened to it for a minute on the way into the Keg on Friday, just to see what the lines were like.
  18. They are like baseball cards for adults. I know adults collect cards, but they're just a neat thing to have displayed. I dunno, some people are really into collecting stamps and things, everyone has their own idea of something worth collecting.
  19. there was no way i was gonna be on here last night, but i hope everyone had a great opening day, drank a billion, and got home safe totally feeling it today.
  20. I have to coach till noon and then drive some kids back to the school...i'm hoping to be there by one, i'd think that's a safe bet...don't they usually come through between 2-4?
  21. Done AND Done. Seriously though, booing former players is crazy. I'll boo Sheffield all day long, but I probably wouldn't boo Wes Helms anymore, even though I booed him during his tenure in Milwaukee. Booing Overbay? Really?! He was such a fan favorite, didn't run his mouth, didn't make any terrible errors, and busted his chin in St Louis once and everyone wore bandaids on their face. I love that attendance has picked up at the Keg, I just wish people wouldn't just boo for the sake of booing.
  22. Matt, look for me. I'll be the one in the Brewers hat. No, seriously, I'll probably have a powder blue messenger bag, and my reddish bat with the team on it (only need Kendall and possibly Rivera and it's done), with Turnbow esque hair....anyone else goin down?
  23. I went down there today to get tickets and decided to take a walk over there. It's got the meshing, but anyone over 5 feet can reach over the fence and hand off things to players. Apparently a buncha guys were using rope and a bucket or bag last year and dropping things down. They were able to get Yount and Sabathia pretty easily this way (once players gave permission). I dont know if that'll fly this year, or if anything will fly this year. But I'm still gonna go down there early on Monday and see what happens.
  24. I plan on going Thursday and Friday. If no one else can help you, keep in touch, and I'll see what I can do. What's the difference between VIP and non? I see you can go in early, but besides that, do you have to wait in line as long for autos? What other perks are there? Is it worth it?
  25. 4 just went together pretty cheap like 110....i'd like to get a pair eventually for an office or rec room
