  1. 7 by Prince. "All 7 and we'll watch them fall"...7 other teams in the post season.
  2. that's incredible. i was gonna try to get down to the dugout area, but i had blown out my voice at that point, and was happy enough filling my pockets with confetti. now i'm jealous
  3. I've posted here for 4 years now, and I may not have the same knowledge as some, though I consider myself in the same tier as the rest of the biggest fans. Right now, who cares about knowledge of the game, put aside sabermetrics. Who cares that Rluzinski said that CC would only be a two win difference when really it was probably 6. What matters now is that myself and all of you die hard fans are going to experience something most of us never got to witness in Wisconsin. The Crew put pieces in our place, the Crew took advantage of our opportunites, and now we're in October baseball. Milwaukee, I may not be the most knowledgeable poster on this board. Though I learn and appreciate a lot from all of you, and one thing is for certain, we're all feeling that same joy right now, and that's all that matters. GO CREW!!!!!
  4. I'm excited and nervous as all get out. When the 9 pack ran out of opening day tix, I opted for Today. Thinking, that could be the greatest victory I've ever seen. And of course I want that. However, I didn't want it to come down to this Sunday to get in. Yesterday woulda helped more. Let's see if the Cubs lay down for us again. CC is pitching for the Crew. Olsen is pitching for the Marlins against Oliver. At about 2 or 2:15 I think I'll have a good feeling of what's to come. Let's just hope the Crew can knock on a huge crooked number early and never look back. My idea of a celebration on a Sunday night isn't nearly gonna be the same celebration that I had in mind for a saturday night though.
  5. As BHF said, I'd guess they are prolly in the 75 range. Pretty much the price of the jersey because of non authentics. I dunno what Freeman would go for anyway, but Butler would probably be worth a little more.
  6. watched a bunch of the Office tonight while grading papers....can't wait for Thursday night!!!!
  7. How much do you think an authentic JJ Hardy Jersey from Hong Kong can bring in? Just kidding. Did Miller Park print up any thing to send in for a certificate for Zambrano's no-no? I know that the Yount and Nolan Ryan certificates for their milestones don't really grab much. If they did make some up knowing that attendance was about 24,000 at the game compared to the regular attendance at MP, also assuming there was a fair number of people that don't send in for the certificate, what does something like that go for? This might be all voided because I'd bet they didn't make anything up. However, my dad has a certificate from a Spahn no no that county stadium gave out.
  8. BHF, can you clarify about the numbers lining up incorectly on your jersey? when I put mine on, you can't even see the front number it's off to the side so far. I don't necissarily think playmaker was out to hustle anyone, it just happened that the quality we had expected wasn't there. as said, personally i don't mind if the material is a knock off, but the number on mine looks way off. Maybe the Braun ones weren't messed up as far as number placement, I guess I don't know since mine hasn't arrived in the mail yet.
  9. After getting a better chance to check out the jersey I recieved today, and examinging the pics BHF set up, I noticed that the Hardy's number on the front is in the wrong spot. For a player with double digit numbers the tens number should be under the "ER" area, and the ones should be under the RS. On player jerseys who have individual numbers (ie 7), shouldn't that number be under the "ER" not the "RS?" Looks like BHF's Hall jersey has his 2 under the "ER" I went to check at the Brewers pro shop just now to be sure, but they don't have any retros with numbers shown. I'll try to post a picture in a bit, but now I'm irked. As I said, I don't care if it's a bootleg so much as long as it looks and fits right. But if the number is misplaced, I'm not satisfied.
  10. Good point. I guess I'm not gonna complain over it too much, even though playmaker is in the wrong, since MLB feels the need to charge 250 for a jersey that probably costs about 10 to make.
  11. I got one of mine today. It looks nice enough, and as Razzzor said you get what you pay for. I'm sure all the throwbacks I got from ebay are fakes, but 200+ is a lot for a shirt I'm gonna wear only a maybe dozen times a year. I ordered 3 for 125. Got the Hardy one today, and am still waiting for my Nolan Ryan and Ryan Braun. The Hardy one looks pretty nice, but I could tell from other jerseys I've seen at stores that the material was a little off. I'm not overly upset by any means, because if something is too good to be true, it prolly is. However, if you don't care if it's authentic and you can fool yer friends, by all means, get in there...shipping takes a bit of time though. If the other two don't show up (which I'm assuming they will by the weekend), then I'll be very unhappy, as the Hardy one came as a deal for buying the other two I wanted much more.
  12. Total bummer about Ghostbusters. Just bit the bullet and got a wii. With wii fit and zelda. Should be a fun week!
  13. playmaker...are the otehr jerseys the same amount? if i ordered a pinstripe braun, can i trade it in for a blue one?
  14. is ghostbusters gonna be available on wii? i'd like to get guitar hero 4 when it comes out. maybe the drums from GH4 will work for the drums of rockband. If that's the case, I will be very happy. I'm trying to decide if I should get a wii. It seems like a bunch more games I'd like that may not be available for the wii, but I couild be wrong. The wii is so doggone fun though! I should research it more, but I'd like to check out final fantasy type games. I wish GTA4 was available on wii, or hope it is soon.
  15. awesome. i've wanted to see it for some time. it's got a pretty good lookin cast and it's on ebay for cheap all the time, so I might have to pick it up from there (don't have netflix).
  16. BHF, I clicked on this hoping you recieved yers today, and that mine is waiting for me when I get done with work.
  17. Finished Oz last night. Starting the Wire soon. Took some prying, but I'm excited. However, I had to promise to watch more movies because we've been watching a lot of tv lately. Also just got Pride of the Yankees from Walmart for 5 bucks (never saw it, and being a baseball movie buff, figured it was worth the gamble). They had Bull Durham there too, but I already have it. Raging Bull and Rudy were also on sale. Both classics. Anyone ever seen Bingo Long's Travelling All Stars?
  18. If the Crew goes 8-1 to finish out, you sir will be handed one american beer of your choice. You can choose, can or bottle. However, does this 8-1 put them in the playoffs? Do you have the inside track on how the NL East is gonna finish out? That way I know if I can completely clear my schedule or if I should check out that last game of the season.
  19. Right now I'm planning on going to Wednesday's game. Though that may change in the next 72 hours. Depending on where we're at, I have 4 tickets for Friday nights game, and 2 for Sunday's game. I had a major problem with people selling their tickets to Chicago fans last home series, but if we're out of it, I have no reason to want to be at those games. Not to mention I could use the money, and those jerks on the North Side will dish it out. It's just so hard to not boo a team that your completely passionate about for 140 games and then watch them just tank year after year, especially since this year we really went after it tryin to piece together the missing links. We brought in basically an entire new bullpen, got rid of AAAA guys, found a gold glove center fielder, and got 2 former Cy Young pitchers. On paper, the Brewers should be right there with the Cubs. Though communism looked good on paper too.
  20. Quick question. What does bobbleheads generally fall under? The balls, 8x10's, etc? I was curious about that for the Ben Sheets signing, but I opted not to go to it, so I never found out.
  21. Even though I had to get up at 4:30am to stand in line at On Deck a few years back on my jersey, I'm glad I did it. It's a 150 dollar saving.
  22. I'm just so accustomed for the city's dirtiest trick that is the Milwaukee Brewers, that I have just sit and wait for the ship to sink. But they really pulled a fast one on me this year, giving me hope until about 14 games left in the season. On a side note, I had 2 wedding to attend on Friday and Saturday or I may have broke something. Sunday I watched the Packers to get away from it, and decided not to check the score of Sunday nights game until Monday morning. At my place of employment where I couldn't break anything if I wanted to keep my job.
  23. turbo. I'm 6'2" 185lbs. pretty average build. on my other jerseys I've always gotten an XL. 2XL isn't too much bigger if you like em baggier. If your around my size, the XLs wear down to a little below you pockets and are pretty comfortable without being drowning. Hope that can give you some idea if you need to compare sizes.
  24. I never recived the letter or an email (though the email could be among thousands of spam letter). I need to call my ticket rep. Probably right now.
