“We talked about it both ways, but this is the way we’ve rolled with it so far. It’s worked so far,” Brewers president of baseball operations David Stearns said. “I would imagine we get to a point in the season where we ask a little bit more from our starters, but we’re not at that point right now. “This is a fun series, it’s a big series. It’s still the last three days of June. We’ve got half a season left to go and we’re still very much in a long game here. That’s how we have to look at it.”

Peralta has had very few bad starts this season……if he struggles it usually is in the first inning though.

Suter start/bullpen day? Given both Cousins and Sanchez regularly went multiple innings in the minors and the pen should be fresh enough following Peralta and Woodruff, that should get a solid 6 innings. Lindblom's last start means he won't be selected. And I really don't want to see Bettinger. Ashby?

Yeah I’m fine with the way they are using him……and I have a feeling Hader would be pissed off in a major way if he was moved out of the closers role now.

Sticking to the 6 man rotation for extra rest and to limit innings Craig Counsell says Corbin Burnes is going to pitch the opener Thursday in Pittsburgh. Brewers are still TBA for Wednesday's series finale with the Cubs.

Neither were outside. Both cut the plate in half, one being middle of the strike zone and the other at the bottom of the zone. I do think they were sliders, though the one he hit for a double was a hanger with basically no break. Doing damage against mistakes is big progress…….it’s how good hitters get to be good hitters. Let’s hope it continues.
