Counsell says the hope is that Wong's calf issue is just a cramp. Will be reassessed tomorrow. Probably won't play but hope is that it's not bad.

Josh Hader is unscored upon in 30 of his 32 appearances this season (31.2ip, 2er), including each of his last 16 outings (16ip). His season ERA is 0.57. He has 53 K and opponents are batting .106 (11-for-104). Hader has not allowed a hit in his last 7 outings (7ip). #Brewers

Jake Cousins looks like he might be our next bullpen arm out of nowhere. Only 4 innings but his stuff looks legit

I don’t mind them.missing real borderline strikes……but that one is definitely in the zone. Dangerous hitter like Story that could cost you 2 runs in a hurry…….credit to Burnes that it didn’t.

When you play so many close games you need an elite closer……and we have the best! Don’t take him for granted!

That was 100.7 mph off the bat for Hiura, and 414 feet according to Statcast. Smith caught it front of the 413 marking on the wall, though...

Matt Arnold echoed what David Stearns said recently regarding Ashby: it is still possible he helps the Brewers this year at the front of games, even if he has transitioned to bullpen at Triple A. "I think he’s going to help us this year," Stearns said recently

Hope the best for Keston…….sometimes stuff happens and the plan has to change.
-
Hiura recalled…….think they obviously would have preferred to give him more time but they didn’t really have a choice when Vogelbach went down.

He falls under the leave no stone unturned category

I don’t think he will recoup enough trade value to make that plan a reality. I think they will give him another shot up here when they feel he has made progress in the areas that were giving him trouble. I doubt they trade him before he gets another chance in Milwaukee. We will see.

Godley DFA…..Cousins selected
-
He always looks nasty to me…..can’t believe how bad his numbers are with his stuff
-
Great play on both ends! Vogelbach has been better then expected on defense this season.

Pitchers using foreign substances

From Robert Murray Just texted with a position player about pitchers no longer being able to use rosin and sunscreen on the mound. “Hate it. The combo of rosin, sunscreen and pine tar never got any complaints from us since it improves command and relieves fear we wouldn’t catch 95 in the head.”
