Grandal can't get tossed there
-
Say what you want about Shaw's offense......and its well deserved......but that guy is solid as rock at 3rd......nice turn by Spangenberg too
-
Yelich really not seeing it well.....seems to be pressing
-
Ok cc that's it for Gio.....I've seen all I want to out of him today....
-
I swear Gio thinks the strike zone is in the left handed hitters batters box........I hate watching him pitch
-
A walk and then they pick him off but can't complete the play.........so typical
-
Nothing tells you how this season has gone more then Jesus and JJ. 2 All Stars last season.......one traded for a minor league relief pitcher and 1 Injured, ineffective and then released.....throw in Shaw being so bad that he spent almost as much time in AAA as the majors and our best starter being horrible, injured and then released and it really is amazing we are over 500. Thanks to JJ for all the great years with the Brewers........hope things work out for him either here or someplace else.

5 outs on 12 pitches for Josh.... ..well done
-
Bauer struggling since changing pitching coaches....... Trevor Bauer: Third game with Reds where he allowed 6+ earned runs and didn't finish the 5th inning. Had three such games with the Indians from 2016-19 *combined*.
-
Pina has had a nice 2nd half.......
-
Make sense now......https://twitter.com/adammccalvy/status/1167841735080337408?s=21 Season ending early......
-
Does Hamels have reverse splits or something? Trying to make sense of loading the lineup with lefties but not Thames.......bizarre
-
Will be interesting to see Jimmy get some run this month to see what he has........says he found 3-4 mph down there.....
-
Hiura is going back to Milwaukee to be examined.......https://twitter.com/haudricourt/status/1167556184171261952?s=21
-
-
CC confirmed that Hiura was not hurt on the slide.....just banged shins on the DP.....injury was Hamstring running to first base.
-
Anyone who thinks that this season was derailed by 1 player move is just not living in the real world. Teams with pitching as bad as the Brewers don't make the playoffs ........unless they absolutely score tons of runs......Brewers haven't done that all year. Team has more wins then performance dictates they should have.......they just haven't played well in any aspect of the game......so this is where they are.
-
It really is amazing how the Brewers have no trouble putting guys on base but can't for the life of them score any of them.......day after day......game after game.....

Is Counsell the Right Manager for the Brewers?
markedman5 replied to RollieTime's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
For those with access to the Athletic....this is a good interview with Prince Fielder. He loves him some Craig Counsell....... -
2 pitch Hader better then 1 pitch Hader.......still missing his spots in bad locations too often with the fastball but he got away with them......maybe because they had to think about the slider..... Good win......LoOks like what Stearns and CC said about Lyles when they acquired him has been accurate......they still liked his stuff and thought with some different sequencing he could be effective. Can't always just look at a bad stretch and assume a guy sucks.
-
For those wondering Houser was pulled with left hip discomfort......got worse during the game......cc said he would have been back out there otherwise.
-
Where would Counsell go? Nobody else is likely to offer him a manager’s job and I don’t see him leaving to take a coaching job. I think it’s more likely that he would be fired than leave voluntarily, and I doubt if he will be fired. Lol....yeah nobody would hire him.........fans always think their manager stinks......he is well respected throughout the league......https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/mlb-best-tools-2019-managers-scouts-executives-vote-on-baseballs-best-talent/
