If he's comparable to Gamel, he's a guy you can spot start once in a while in CF but you really don't want to be playing him there. Also reports across the board are that he has a bad arm, so putting him in RF is a pretty significant liability. Gamel has done fine when playing center.......Grisham isn't going to replace Cain full time and Yelich is your right fielder......so he will likely see most of his time in left.....but has the ability to move around if needed, It will be ok... ..Yelich doesn't have a strong arm and either does Cain.

Hard to quantify......in any game a crucial play that isn't made could be the difference......or not......I just don't think they are going to be comfortable double switching without a true backup SS.......but we will see.

Yeah it's much easier to get by for a day without a backup SS when you have the DH.......can't do it over the long haul when you might need a double switch....or Arcia needs a day off.

Maybe we should have traded Gamel yesterday, he seems the odd man out here. Pretty much have Shaw getting the nod over him. I tend to think Grisham might be only up for the day to be honest. Or for a couple days. Gamel isn't going anywhere. I kinda figure on one of him or Shaw getting sent down tomorrow for Perez. I still am a bit concerned with Grisham's defensive ability for the game today...this seems like a bad idea. Would be better to play Yelich in CF and Thames in RF with Braun DH. They didn't add Grisham to the 40 man, call him up and immediately put him in the starting lineup for 1 day or a couple of days........ As far as his defense CC was asked yesterday and he said he could play all 3 positions.....I haven't seen him so I'll go with the feedback management has gotten from Sweet and Flanagan.

They gave Barnes tons of chances........he looked like he would be a key bullpen piece a few years ago........lost velocity and never solved his command issues.

Looks like Arcia isn't getting a day off for awhile.......unless they really say to hell with it and throw Moose out there to start a game. I can't even imagine how bad a Shaw, Moose, Hiura and Braun infield would be defensively........lol.

He isn't even there yet...........I doubt he is even active tonight since that wou.d require another move which hasn't been announced yet. Jesus gone.....Lyles active......roster currently full......2 moves will have to be made for Grisham and Pomeranz tomorrow.

Guys with reasonable contracts and Thames numbers don't get dfa.......they either play or get traded.......since he isn't getting traded until at least after the season I think we can safely assume he will have a role going forward.
