    Just watching Lara, that looked like 450’ no doubter, can of corn, 450’ no doubter, to catch all in the matter of 2 seconds. Bizarre.

    I bet Shewmake is wishing he would’ve gone to Nashville. This would be his spot.

    I find it interesting when a guy like Shewmake elects free agency rather than staying with a club that has such little infield depth that they had to acquire him to begin with. Fastest path back to the bigs would have been waiting on an injury in Milwaukee.

    This lineup will be something to monitor for the next 20 minutes. An Adams scratch would say a lot about the length of time they’re thinking this will take and the health of Joey.

    Really hope Joey O isn’t down for anything passed today. Can’t have Hamilton as the every day SS, or this cat at 3B.

    Pratt being the one to IL is a surprise. Hopefully precaution as hamstrings can linger.

    Looks like Jett got injured AGAIN. So he’s definitely not an option it would seem.

    Jett just had his first game action in a month tonight, I don’t think he’s the guy if that MRI comes back with bad news. Makes more sense to pull up Adams. Hamilton can be the backup SS, and is already getting the bulk of 3B innings.

    We’re going to be well acquainted with Lyon Richardson tonight. Wonder who they bring up tomorrow after he’s DFA’d for taking one on the chin here.

    I could’ve lived with Bryse coming in in the 5th and just getting pounded. This is all the more infuriating that he pitched great and for whatever reason, Murphy was unable to make the obvious decision to go to him.

    If Wilson sneezed, he’d be on the IL to bring Stallings back.

    Refreshing to see someone bust it down the line. Even Pratt looked like he was going 90% on that double play, drives me insane.

    There was just no reason at all not to turn this game over to Bryse. That’s really poor management. Drohan got really unlucky this inning, but the point remains.

    Pitchers are going to not have it on occasion. He’s been really solid lately. That’s baseball.

    Jojo Romero will be up too. Anderson is buried a bit, only an injury type replacement after the deadline moves. And you shrink your staff for the postseason, so even if you could argue to call Sproat up in September for the bullpen (and I don’t think you can), he’s not making a playoff roster. Let him work on stuff in AAA and come back in 2027. There’s actually zero reason for him to be back up this year. If two starters were to go down, they should call up Crow before Sproat.

    Ugh. What a brutal loss for Toronto. Would’ve been nice to go back up 6.5

    Mitchell batting 3rd is like having a great blackjack shoe but not pressing your bet until the next shoe, then you lose it all very quickly.

    I don’t think he should be anywhere near a playoff roster. Your bullpen really shrinks in the postseason, and he’s not earned that spot at all. Come back next season ready to succeed in the rotation.
