  1. OK Rook, here's your first chance to make LaRussa pay.
  2. Kottaras' rotational start lines up against a RHP starter. There was much rejoicing. **Opa!**
  3. Terrible hitting in RISP situations + poor fielding + manager's interesting strategic moves = Loss. Everything in this game typifies what is wrong with the team. Thankfully, we have not seen this aspect of the Brewers as much as we have seen the good. Put this game in the column with the 60 losses that every team will have on a year, but I'd like not to see this combination of factors again.
  4. Great 8th inning from Loe. Really has done well in his new role since K-Rod was acquired and Saito got healthy.
  5. A bit wasteful with that inning. Need to cash in those RISP with less than 2 out.
  6. Smoltz talks about wanting a good, easy base hit to score Greinke and let him rest. Corey delivers.
  7. Corey with the HR. Need one more AB for an attempt at the cycle+.
  8. During hurricanes, the US Navy has typically sent out its fleet from Norfolk, VA in order to avoid being damaged while in port. There's likely some similar thinking with cruise ships. I'd imagine that one of those would wreak some havoc on the harbor piers if moved by winds and storm surge. Won't be fun for the crew and passengers--if any--but its better than millions of dollars of damage or dealing with a sunk vessel in New York Harbor.
  9. I think Marlon Byrd ought to shade towards RF. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  10. Fielder outdoes Braun there. Big Fly for the Big Guy.
  11. Jumped on that pitch, Casey! Early lead and high pitch count for Dempster.....just what the doctor ordered.
  12. http://www.blujay.com/1/437/3219604_s1_i1.jpg Kevin Seitzer. One of my favorites from the 1990s Brewers.
  13. Start Free Taylor Green.
  14. Whew. Made it a little interesting. Lower the magic number one more notch!
  15. Squandering more chances with RISP. At least one run got across that inning.
  16. Good start for Wolf after the rocky beginning. Top of the order needs to tack on several insurance runs to let the lesser bullpen arms close it out.
  17. Hit-and-run with a catcher running and pitcher batting. **Shakes head and grumbles.**
  18. BRAUN!! That's the way to take a lead. Pour it on.
  19. Kottaras! Opa! Finally gets to hit against an RHP.
  20. Rallies that start with 2 outs are frustrating. Nice start for PIT at STL: 3 runs in the 1st.
