  1. Does Logan Int'l. have a red-eye to Nashville? Herrera better hope not.
  2. Strike zone is exceedingly small tonight. That said, it would be nice to have players wearing the Brewers uniform with that type of plate discipline.
  3. Tonight's matchup is the MLB.tv Free Game of the Day for us out-of-market types.
  4. Saturday's game has been pushed back to 7:10 EDT to accommodate the Bruins' parade/celebration. So that might complicate things with the whole weather situation: Saturday game shifted to nighttime start
  5. McGehee and Betancourt both with clutch hits? Inconceivable.
  6. Nice job by the ROOGY. Points awarded to Roenicke for proper use of bullpen.
  7. IBB to Fielder in the 5th inning. And miracle of miracles, McGehee makes them pay!
  8. Nothing like wasting 2 on, with 0 out to begin a game...... Had a chance to get to Zambrano early and set off the temper tantrum. Instead 3 Ks in a row sets the confidence way up.
  9. Better than Sean Narveson. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  10. Well, that's only going to confirm the "Loe is the 8th inning man" movement.
  11. The ineffective at bats for McGehee just keep piling up. It's gotta be messing with him pretty bad. It's like he's got the blue screen of death in his eyes, and the only solution is to reboot. But only time in AAA or a mysterious injury leading to a rehab assignment is the reset button in baseball.
  12. Maybe Don Money has Green hitting 9th, just in case he gets a phone call to put Green on a plane ASAP.
  13. This loss gets chalked up to Doug Melvin, as much as Ron Roenicke. Don't care what the manager says; personnel moves have to be in the front office, not the dugout. Nieves, Betancourt, and McGehee simply aren't getting the job done, and roster spots have to be on the line once the calendar reaches mid-June. To trot out that lineup and lose 1-0 shouldn't be surprising.
  14. Sometimes going with the hot hand makes sense. Even without the hot hand, Green's defensive versatility would be a good asset, since there are the six "non-DH" interleague games from June 20-26 sandwiched between the road trips to (a) Boston and (b) New York/Minneapolis. Green would give the potential of having Weeks out of the field for a game or subbing for McGehee at 3B. The only issue with Green is that he's not on the 40-man roster, at least that's what the brewers.com site reports. (Not sure what roster moves would be required to add him.)
  15. And LaRussa comes out of the dugout one batter too late......nice to have it happen for the other team.
  16. 8 shutout innings from the #5 starter. That's just about all a manager can ever ask.
