  1. Seems like Murphy is using Uribe as the highest leverage setup man recently. Match him up against the toughest potential batters in either the 7th or 8th inning, whichever is the more likely to be the hardest.
  2. Peralta went through the Cubs' 2–4 hitters with relative ease. Should be able to push into the 7th inning, though the bullpen should be warming. Blow the game open here, and it could be a really good game for the pitching staff.
  3. Scored another single run, but not taking advantage of the opportunities for big innings so far. Hope to get another shutdown inning from Peralta, which might be his last for the game depending on pitch count.
  4. Good shutdown inning for Peralta in the 5th. Needed that quick one. Opportunity to tack on some more runs and extend the lead.
  5. Escape job by Peralta! Big momentum swing if the offense can push a few runs across right after.
  6. Bullpen call for the Cubs in the 3rd inning. Really need to get a couple 2-out RBIs here.
  7. 25 pitches through 2 IP for Peralta. Good efficient start. Could use another 5 innings of that.
  8. Got some decent swings from Vaughn, Frelick, and Jansen in the 2nd inning. A little unlucky for Jansen on the drive toward the left-center gap.
  9. Even with a super-Sunday lineup and a short bullpen, the game almost landed in the area of near-invincibility for the Brewers. Start a new streak tomorrow. Can even get two wins in one day. Will be good to get Collins back.
  10. Need to play for more than one run anyway in extras on the road, not sure about bunting there.
  11. Been a few 2 strike mistakes from Brewers pitchers tonight. Never going to be perfect, but the Reds have taken advantage.
  12. Not a good offensive night, but could be just good enough if Megill slams the door shut.
  13. The team is now 77-44 on August 15, achieving a 13-game winning streak to match the 1987 season. Through 121 games, they have the best record in MLB, scoring 630 runs and allowing 469 runs. More single-season franchise records/achievements are out there for the team to chase in these last 41 games of the 2025 season: 894 - Most runs scored in 162 games (1996) 604 - Fewest runs allowed in 162 games (1992) 96 - Most regular season wins (2011, 2018*) Best regular season record in league (1982, 2018) Best regular season record in MLB (1982) Win a League Pennant (1982) Win a World Series (Never) Matching or surpassing these would make this an all-time team in franchise history. The runs scored and runs allowed records may be a challenge, but those last five achievements definitely seem possible.
