  1. Yankees eliminated. There goes MLB’s American League big market team. Toronto vs. Detroit/Seattle winner in the ALCS.
  2. Couldn’t start much worse. Eight innings to go. At least need to make Taillon work in the 2nd. Answer back with something.
  3. Command is completely absent to start for Priester. Dangerous spot early in the game. Still a chance to get out of it with a double play.
  4. Got one. Not the optimal result, but the chance wasn’t completely squandered. Any lead is better than the opposite.
  5. Sarah Langs has the answer: October 5, 1996.
  6. Quick look at weather apps shows predicted weather for Wednesday early evening in Chicago is Upper-50s with winds from the NE around 10mph. So if that holds, it should be the wind blowing in from CF at Wrigley. Get Priester and the ground balls along with some help on anything up in the air.
  7. 3 Ks for Uribe in the 9th. Just a filthy close to the game. Bullpen brought the hammer down for the last 5 innings backing up Miz after the offense picked up Ashby.
  8. OK. Just need Uribe to slam the door here in the 9th.
  9. 1-2-3 for Koenig. Job done for the 7th. Let's get a couple insurance runs.
  10. Missed the chance for a decisive blow with Turang at the plate.
  11. And it's a 2-for-3 night for Joey O so far..... Go figure.
  12. Indeed. Patrick was a very serviceable back-end starter. But letting him cut loose in relief for a few innings has been a bit of a revelation also.
  13. Chad Patrick on in relief. Need the bridge innings to the top tier game closers.
  14. Yet another zero from Miz. Have the 3-4-5 hitters coming up in the 5th. They've been money tonight. Chance to land a big haymaker with a crooked number.
  15. More two out runs. Story of the night so far for the Brewers' offense.
  16. Another 3-run bomb for the Brewers!!!! CHOURIO!!!!
  17. Ortiz with a hit? A couple games so far this series with him getting on base.
  18. Another zero from Miz! Would love one of the trademark 4-run innings to start to break this game open.
  19. 2-out run from a 1-man rally by Contreras. Nice to get the lead. Hope Miz can hold it for at least one more inning.
  20. A home run for the Brewers again? Way to go, Contreras!
  21. A bit of an adventure, but still a zero on the board from the Miz in the 3rd. Let's see the offense the second time around can get more runs.
  22. Please be the Good Miz tonight......
