  2. Still think it is, but respectfully view your opinion... In His original design, the bat is seen better. It would have been really easy to just skip the white spacing between m and b and put the two letters together; had to be something more. This guy was in art design, and he was looking for added meaning in his work, got to think..
  3. We could be cheating.... how do we know that we are not? It also could be wide-spread with half the teams using technology to steal signs in game, or it could be a case of gamesmanship without tech... who knows?
  4. Bat? What bat? Now that you say that, and I studied it, I see what you mean, but I don't think that was ever meant to be a bat... Disagree.... ball, bat, glove, m, and b.... the bat has to be there for a reason. Too coincidental, especially with a ball and glove there already.
  5. Crazy that they got rid of the bat in the logo by what, filling it in? There is an m, b, ball, glove, AND bat in the original. Now the bat is gone for what purpose?
  6. There's a restaurant beneath the LF bleachers with a view out to the field. How would you remedy that situation? As for putting seats over the bullpen - just completely cut off the view to the field for anyone walking from RF to LF? Really don't care about those walking from LF to RF.... I'd rather have more bleacher/standing room seats right above the wall. Can't do much about the restaurant now....just not a fan of its location which makes other outfield seating options worse. It also is covered primarily by the Loge outfield level, which takes away the view of the roof or makes you feel like you are inside even when the roof is open.
  7. Just buy yours kids a ticket.... don't make them buy them on the secondary market. They have tickets...they just don't want to sit for more than 2-3 innings. This schtick of yours, it was old a long time ago and is dumb. Fair enough.... The kids' area on the field level around the LF foul poke is fairly good for kids. It means you'll have to miss a couple innings here or there, though.
  8. The Miller Park name will be phased out with relentless mentioning of Amfam Park until it seems so normal to call the place Amfam (or whatever it will be called). After a couple of seasons, it will seem bizarre to call it Miller anymore, although brewerfan will keep the Miller thing going.
  9. Agreed.. if Hiura's d was gold gloveish, he's top 3, not now. Maybe top 5 or 6 now...
  10. Just buy yours kids a ticket.... don't make them buy them on the secondary market.
  11. I like to sit in the 200 level bleachers for playoff games. I feel like it is a nice seat for probably the fairest price per playoff games. Sadly, this new project limits my ability to get a ticket there a bit. Also, the Brewers goofed somewhat with bleacher spacing in the outfields. The seating is so far above the wall... really no reason to have it so much above the playing surface. Also, the left center home bullpen swallows up some potentially good seating, as well. Why they didn't put Loge seating right above the home bullpen, I'm not sure. It's almost perfectly set up for it. Even now, putting a 15ft ceiling/floor above the bullpen in LCF could add nice seating.
  12. Not picking up the option of Thames is the most worrisome move to me. Do we all remember trying to find a 1B after Fielder left? Ugh.. Braun should move there, but still....
  13. My guess is a player's height (and not crouch) will play into the formula for top/bottom of zone. An Automated strike zone will happen, just a matter of next year or a few...
  14. Agree, Yelich can run. Hate seeing him bat 3 and hit with no on and two out. It's all about the 1st inning scenarios and the added bonus of getting him a few more at bats for the year. We also have a great option in a Hiura to bat 3rd.
  15. Offering a 3 year deal to further match Yelich and Cain Offering 3 years for 50 million.... willing to nudge a bit up on $ but not years
  16. No ol King Cole when season is in the balance?
  17. They are looking at the gas and K rate..... impressive as all get out. Yet, overall, Yates did better and didn't give up the dingers in high leverage situations.
  18. My argument against that is that it wasn't "the best relief pitcher on a good team" award. MVP.... it still matters how well your team does. CY Young and other awards not so much...
  19. Now he's not good.... boy this board can flip on a guy.
  20. Are HRs a meaningless stat too? He had a great year.... better than good. Yet, who can really get behind this one?
  21. Blown saves.... a meaningless stat? Since when?
  22. Not what the Brewers wanted before arbitration numbers are given... his price just went up a couple million. Seven blown saves? 15 HRs? Best reliever, no way. I could get behind a top 5 reliever, maybe. Like someone else said, got this one waaay wrong.
  23. Unlike some clubs (Pirates, Reds, Brewers, Royals, etc...) the Cubs have the money to buy just about any FA they want. Plus they have the cash to re-sign their own players if they so choose and to take on huge contracts for players rebuilding teams are trying to get off the books. I don't see them being in the dumpster fire catagory. Cubs have money. They will buy whatever. With all that money, and new money coming in, they have a big advantage each season before anything begins.
  24. 81 MVP and CY Young Fingers.... Vuke is on because of the 82 Cy Young. Then Higuera and Sheets are included for some great years with a little longevity.
