  1. So take advantage of it and jack the tickets for Brewers/Cubs game up to $200 for terrace reserve seats and $50 for general parking. Bleed them dry if they want to come. Fixed How many people would actually be at this game?
  2. So take advantage of it and jack the tickets for Brewers/Cubs game up to $200 for terrace reserve seats and $50 for general parking. Bleed them dry if they want to come. You can't stop them from coming.... but come on, the front office could literally could get tickets into Brewers fans hands easily and at the game if Brewers fans wouldn't flip them.... root problem.
  3. I see no problem selling tickets to Cubs fans, I do it often enough with my 20 pack...helps me pay for it. They'll find their way in if they want to get in, whether it's my tickets or someone elses or buying from the brewers ticket office. Not to go directly at you, sir, but the urban dictionary has this to say about a sellout...., "One who betrays a cause for personal advancement"
  4. And you might as well make a little money on the side while they come, right? The logic of one who sells out.
  5. I live a 3 hour drive from Miller Park and still go to 5-6 games a year. I have a family of 5 with two toddlers and I am the sole income provider for the 5 of us at about 60 hours a week. This is the most I can afford to invest in both time and money. Hope it is okay with you. Don’t go down this hole with him. He seems to be permanently stuck down there on a few issues and wants to drag as many as he can. I’ve nicknamed him Pennywise for myself to remind myself to just laugh at 99% of this crap. I'm in the same boat as Adam.... get to about 10 games a year, with kids, won't get season tickets because of cost. I just personally think selling to the enemy is something that a good fan base should not get caught up in; usually, the best seats go to the Cubs fans (saw good support from Brewers fans in nice seats Mon., though)... guessing you won't give a nickname to adam, though.
  6. Overall, fun game..... terrible ending... it was almost a playoff atmosphere.
  7. "Go to the games then."- Rick Funny thing, I was there, front row taking the heckling in the 11th. You? Probably flying the ol Cubs W flag... congrats on the win and net cash, by the way.
  8. A relatively bad Dexter Fowler deal and a 1-year Greg Holland contract has really made you think this? Since I can remember, they've seemed to be a team that makes 1 splash either by bringing back a guy they traded for (Matt Holliday) or one signing that they think fills a longterm gap, even if an overpay (Jhonny Peralta, Dexter Fowler). They did get a 1 year trial out of Kyle Lohse but they eventually brought him back at 4/$40 million. They've done stuff like this for a fairly long time. The Cubs spent roughly 500 million on FA in 2015/2016, and we know how that ended. The Yanks spending in FA kept getting them back to WS and the playoffs over the last 20 plus years.... spending big for SMALL markets is usually a bad strategy.
  9. So we make the postseason, you're saying? CC gets us there, right? Yet he is the reason we don't advance in the playoffs? Just trying to follow your logic...
  10. A few observations from Mon.: Great game for 10 innings... Villar makes the catch at 2B we probably win. Was calling for Shaw to hit in the 8th for Perez. Perez had some nice plays in the game, however. Brewers fans showed well...it did my soul well to see and hear Brewers fans giving it back to Cubs fans/cheers throughout the game. 50 to 60 percent Brewers fans although I tend to believe Cubs fans are naturally loud mouths... I know many say selling first to WI residents was a flop; I liked it and hope that continues. Good to see mostly Brewers fans in the first few rows of the RF bleachers. Can't stop em from coming but can find ways to favor Brewers fans a bit. Cubs fans, for all their faults, showed up big again on a Mon. Night. Give them some credit. They love baseball and their team. But really and truly, largely just miserable, arrogant, foul mouthed jerks. When their team is on top, they don't just cheer, it is put downs of All things Milwaukee. The 11th inning rants of Cubs fans were brutal... Don't hear that from other fan bases here; Cardinals fans are about opposite... Hope the die easy sell outs can start saving for their 2019 Brewers/Cubs tickets.... great fans.
  11. Dropped a big one from Cain tonight....
  12. A few observations..... The Brewers need to win a series versus the Cubs for their own confidence and the fans... These two easily could be Playing in the Wild Card or Division Series this year. CBS has Odds of the three central teams getting in the playoffs as fairly good. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/standings/ The secondary market has tickets on the cheap(er), compared to other recent Brewers/Cubs series. Weekday nights and end of school year graduation party schedule has something to do with it, possibly...still should be 33,000 plus there each game. Finally, keep your tickets Brewers fans and Selloouts. Go to these games and root on your team! See you there tonight!
  13. Nottingham is doing well in Colorado... good to see. I put that trade as the worst, but I'll change my mind for now. It is saying a lot about our GM when we are having difficulty picking a few obviously bad trades.
  14. Cubs Cards Brewers Pirates Reds Most money to least, usually. The Cards have a very solid farm, as well. This doesn't mean we can't win the division this season.... it's possible.
  15. Did anyone else hear about Choi/agent complain about his demotions and demand/want to be traded? My buddies were talking about how they had heard this last week.... couldn't find it. Also, Brad Miller should be a nice boost off our bench. He is a tall drink of water, can play the post, and does a decent job when squaring to the hoop.... decent defender and solid Boilermaker.
  16. Shoulda checked another source .., Thank you.

  18. I recently was looking up team 2018 pitching stats. I did this since I figured the Brewers pitching stats had to look a lot different than the typical team.... more relief innings, less quality starts, more RP Ks and such. However, when looking at team quality starts, the Brewers are listed as leading the league with 38! I couldn't believe it! I checked specifically again what a quality start was defined as (again), and it was sp with at least 6 IP with 3 or less runs.... not surprised. Then I looked at the Brewers individual pitchers themselves (Guerra, Anderson 5, Chacin and Davies 3, Miley 1) and tallied their QS. I got a total of 17! Yet, on the bottom of the same stat line, the total listed total QS were 38. Can somebody explain this? I'd appreciate it...
  19. Worst 1. Nottingham 2. Scooter Best 1. Shaw 2. Yelich
  20. 2700 seems possible.. maybe 2800. He's at an age when ABs will get fewer very quickly.
  21. Really? Gotta get Aguilar back to his role of best PH in baseball? Can we just say that the bench will be deeper or that Thames would solidify the roster. Aguilar has to keep playing. Thames had a .918 OPS vs. RHP in 2017 and was at 1.004 so far this year. Like it or not they are going to work him in against righties somehow. Work him in? Sure. Playing him equal or MORE than Aguilar? That's another thing.
  22. I'll go with Cain, Hader, Shaw, and Aguilar.
  23. Getting back home from Miller Park (going south) has also been tricky with the construction on 94 and 894...... can't exit south on either. In the light, backroads are a hassle. At night, in traffic, the hassle turns to a headache for me.

  25. He's a 2nd half pitcher. He'll be good when healthy.
