  1. How is Yelich still on the DL? Isn't he supposed to be back on the team yesterday or placed on the DL again? Can the DL be extended for periods past 10 days, yet shorter than 20 days.
  2. I would really like to get a pitcher like Matz..... SP, fairly young, controlled, lefty. He would be a good get, but we'd have to give up too much probably. Do the Mets need another OF or two?
  3. Hitters didn't touch Williams stuff.... put nothing in play.
  4. We don't need another quality starter? Our bullpen seems spent after 12 games. Simply unreal...
  5. I've hated the way CC has handled our bullpen since he first was the Crew's manager. Ray Charles could see Hoover didn't have it tonight. Pulling Williams and not pulling Hoov..... questionable.
  6. Can't imagine much crazier baseball roller coaster ride... emotion swings drastically....
  7. Not even trying Hader as a starter so we can lock down the 6/7/8 innings the next few years is awful use of him and resources in general. It’s much harder and more expensive to fill the rotation than build a bullpen. Even just 160-175 innings of ~4 ERA out of Hader in the rotation is more valuable than whatever he does in his ~60 or so innings out of the bullpen. Plus we already know what he can do out of the pen and we aren’t winning a WS this year, might as well try him as a starter. He can always go back to the pen if he’s a disaster. Don't mess with this guy's head. His pitches (mainly fastballs) don't translate well to the rotation. He has a unique role and is doing well in it.
  8. Phillips will need to stay a bit longer now. Our outfield depth is too thin.
  9. Didn't the Brewers request weekday/weeknight home series against the Cubs around 7 to 10 years ago? That would make a lot of sense now too since we get 30 to 40 for most Friday/Weekend games. Also, Cubs fans come up in droves when these things occur: Weekend Series Cubs are a Probable Playoff team Summer That summer part is what was lacking this series. If the weather was in the 70's this past weekend, we would have seen 40 plus on Friday and 43 plus at the Sat. and Sun. games. The next two Cubs home series are in June and September. Both are weekday/night games. That will keep Cub attendance down somewhat. School is just finishing up with the June series, and kids are back in school for the September series, as well. More than anything, Brewers fans have to keep battlling and getting to these games. It is easy to not go and stay away from these miserable people, but really the team needs more and more Brewers fans to get in the park. I hope the front office looks to reward Brewers season ticket holders who actually use their tickets or pass them on to other Brewers fans.
  10. The questionable side of me says give Sogard and Aguilar more playing time. They earned it based on how they played last season. Sogard has struggled but he has hardly played and his spot in the line-up is constantly changing. Sogard nearly won us the game on Sat., as well. His on base will be better than the others, and his defense is probably better than all of them. He can be the bridge until a better player comes up or is traded for. Aguilar just looks better at the plate to me than Thames. It's close, though. I see him batting 270 with 30 HRs if he could get regular playing time. No doubt Aguilar and Sogard have been the odd men out this year. I think it would do the Crew some good to remember how much each of these guys helped the team last season and how very bad Villar and Thames were for long, extended periods.
  11. It is a different fan base because the great majority of the ones at Miller Park can't afford Wrigley. Disagree with this entirely... prices are just a little more at Wrigley. Fans at Miller are liquored up way more.
  12. Way too many little errors from him.... this is the area he has been fairly consistent, whether in the field or on the bases.
  13. My guess is that Guerra gets a chance before Burnes.
  14. The 10 pack is so much worse than the 20 pack in terms of everything you get that this isn't a very good option. I can't make it to 20 games, but I love the SSH perks and playoff tickets when they do make it. If they offered a 10 pack that offered what the 20 does, I'd get that instead. Until then the Cub fans are subsidizing it for me. I suppose I don't know who's buying them but I assume it's them. It's really kind of a tired topic imo. People can do what they want with their own tickets. Not even sure more Brewers buyers will make a difference. You'll have tons of Milwaukeeans selling when they see a ticket in the terrace selling for $65. Freedom to do it doesn't make it right, although I'm sure you will have more money to buy and then sell more Cubs tickets. Imagine all the cash if the Brewers played the Cubs in the playoffs! Again, if I would sell my tickets to the clear cut division enemy, I would consider myself a complete sell out, especially after games like this one. The large portion of Brewers fans at the game today have no warm feelings for sell outs.
  15. Just so we are clear about this...
  16. Fans brawl in upper deck at Miller Park during Friday's Brewers-Cubs game https://jsonl.in/2GIFGBp
  17. You do realize that you are sticking up for more Cubs fans in the park, right?
  18. Oops... if I made a decision to literally sell out, I would own that decision of selling really good seats to the enemy. That would make me a sell out and I would be happy about the extra money I could use.
  19. Just be a good fan. Selling to the enemy is obviously not a good thing. If you need to supplement season tickets by ripping off Cubs fans, just get a smaller package or buy individual tickets. Let another Brewers fan have a chance at the seats.
  20. https://sports.yahoo.com/wisconsin-residents-only-cubs-fans-013050084.html The message of Brewers fans selling to Brewers fans is one that has not been heard yet. Can't keep Cubs fans out, yet you should be able to keep them out of the best seats. Brewers ticket office coulld easily see the ones that sell out to Cubs fans year after year.
  21. Just want to keep Aguilar on the team somehow...
  22. O we have options at starting pitching this year too.... Burnes, Peralta, Guerra, and Ortiz, among others!
  23. Trading a Thames for relief pitching would be ideal.... allowing Braun and Aguilar to play more and strengthening our depth at pitching.
  24. Pretty politically correct nowadays so... Buying Brewers tickets and then selling them to Cubs fans? If I did that, I would be literally a sell out. I should just be a good Brewers fan and go to the game, cheer on the right team, and wear the right cap. I am talking about me, not you, and that is my opinion so don't judge.
