  1. agreed. Smart business? You guys must be dreaming about a Cubs NLCS! Imagine all the cash you can make!
  2. Also, the tickets to the tiebreaker is for WI residents FIRST... http://m.mlb.com/brewers/tickets/postseason/
  3. Like someone said earlier, do what Badgers did with home tickets and make fans buy more tickets to other games. If you want weekend Cubs seats, you have to buy two other nonCubs games in similar section. Brewers fans buy in bulk anyways. It wouldn't keep them away. That would curb interest for Cubs fans a bit with the upfront $ and inconvenience of selling Brewers/Reds week night games on the secondary market. Then Make Cubs games available just at Miller Park, not online, a week before the game. Again, not a fix, it would just curb more tickets to Brewers fans. The Brewers could easily get more Wisconsin groups in, as in groups/group leaders that cone to NON Brewers/Cubs games. Give them a nice deal to come, not $50 to sit in the Terrace. Ultimately, I would like to know if management wants to do anything that would curb $ from coming in. Would the Brewers target legit BREWERS fans to come to games for less in place of Cubs fans. That is the question that I'd like to hear Mark A. and Rick S. answer in different rooms with lie detectors on. Even with regular pricing and not a Cubs fan in the building, the Brewers would have drawn 120,000 plus for this weekend's Cubs series.
  4. When Cubs are beating us 3 of 4 in our ballpark overtaken by Cubs fans, you bet I'm going to blame our supposedly best fans for literally selling out to them. I have a big beef with Cubs fans sitting in the park's best seat, closest to home and the field. Cubs fans might be the worst lot of human beings around, but no one sells out like a Brewers season ticket holder.
  5. CC is treating this game like a normal game? I thought yesterday was a must win? Not today? Pitch your best pitchers!!!!! You have an off day tomorrow!!!! Dumb.
  6. Management appears not to care about getting more Brewers fans in the door. Money rules. In the days when all tickets were the same price and the secondary market was less accessible, more Brewers fans would have been in the park.
  7. How about games when we have had a 2 or 3 run lead compared to being down 2 or 3 runs?
  8. That last paragraph is full of truth..... CC letting Drake stay in against any righty in a tied game in extras is questionable, and we had other/better relievers available.
  9. I work at a school on the Ill/WI border...... tons of fair weather Cubs fans. I didn't know that they even liked baseball in 2014. Now, Cubs crap/gear all over the place. I was taking some heckling this morning (with my Brewers shirt on) and asked them if they watched the game last night..... so far, the best answer is that someone watched thru 9 innings. The others? No watch. In reality, there are soooooooooooooooooo many Cubs fans that are not invested one bit in the team but follow casually and a bit more in the playoffs. They will celebrate the victories, oh sure. Yet, follow thru going to a few games and getting an update of a game outcome on their phones. I know, i know, there are fans like that everywhere. Yet, I'll venture to say that Cubs fans are perhaps the only ones that will heckle you about a game not watched. To conclude, when asked if I was hurting much today by a teacher decked out in Cubs gear, I said I'd rather be hurting as a Brewers fan than winning being a Cubs fan. Stay strong, Brewer fan!
  10. Kaufman and Wrigley- I go back and forth on which one is better. Wrigley- I like the two decks, the general admission bleachers, ivy, area around the park, and general feel of the place. Kauffman- Love the fountains, nice bleacher area, no big upper deck with bad seats by the poles, and big parking lot of interstate. Worst? Probably the Metrodome though I liked visiting there too. Very unique place with the pressurized dome. I would have said the White Sox stadium, but it was much better in 2015 compared to when I visited last in 1996. Been to 11 teams' stadiums....
  11. Knebel and Swarzak pitched 3 games in a row.... both probably out tomorrow. Yet, how could CC not pitch Knebel if leading in the 9th tomorrow? Would Hader pitch 3 innings? Jeffress close?
  12. 07/08 was really fun.... the idea of actually being a buyer at the deadline, being in pennant races again... Fans came out in droves. People were excited and vocal. The Brewers sold out every game from late July to Labor Day in 2008. The way the reg. Season ended with Walkoff wins and then CC and Braun... magical.
  13. You could, but don't complain when someone questions your allegiance.
  14. Would it be out of possible/probable to play those games in Milwaukee? Would MLB have better options?
  15. So Aguilar should play more. Walker could play 1B a day a week.
  16. I have two strong opinions for this team.... no more Garza in rotation and no more Villar leading off at 2B.
  17. We have Walker on the team. Sogard is a better defender. I feel for guys whose playing time lessens, but we are trying to win, right? .220 hitter with defensive issues and huge ? on bases, strikes out a bunch.
  18. So Garza is STILL going to be in the rotation? So Woodruff doesn't pitch Wed. In favor of Garza? Looney Toons..
  19. Just saw Woodruff on an up close picture..... anyone else see a grizzly Matt Damon?
  20. Needed win. Great start by Davies and Big pitches made by Swarzak/ Knebel. Win this road trip tomorrow!
  21. First 3 guys could have eaaaaaasily been on base.
  22. Get somebody up and somebody has to be our closer...
  23. No reason to take Davies out..... Davies is 8th and if he gets two on, Knebel. This sort of crap bothers me too... why take him out when he is rolling? 94 pitches? Could easily get an inning or two!
