  1. And Misioroski and Woodruff could be with the staff in 2025.
  2. Probably the most encouraged about our young lineup since the days of Hardy, Weeks, Braun, Hart, and Fielder in 2007. Knowing we have our almost entire lineup for the next 5-6 years…and knowing we have speed, power, and contact hitters in there with Chourio, Turang, Black, Mitchell, Contreras, and Frelick. And veteran Yelich there too.
  3. Great win…”now doooon’t beee sad (don’t be sad cuz) 3 out of 7 ain’t bad.”
  4. Find a way tomorrow….3-4 road trip feels much better than 2-5.
  5. Yep…waiting til after the draft seems silly.
  6. Normal to have regression and down areas of the season…can still give him time off. And he has had off days catching with the DH.
  7. I hate complaining about umps,, but last night’s ball/strike was awful.
  8. CC had Frelick hitting cleanup as a rookie and now he is in the 5th hole. Some say lineup spots mean nothing. I do not agree. Especially for our 2024 lineup with high OBP guys at #1-3, our 4 and 5 guys have huge opportunities. Like others have said, hitting Ortiz #2 and sliding lineup down a bit makes sense…still can go LRLR at top.
  9. It was bad enough that he didn’t get opportunities early in the season,…now he is relegated to hitting 7th or 8th. Just this move alone could cost us this game.
  10. Campusano is 1 for 24 in throwing out runners this season…seems odd. We have had two to three dozen opportunities to run tonight with speed on the bases.
  11. Are we not running tonight for some good reason? Even this inning…
  12. Black watched about what, a dozen pitches, without attempting to steal…what’s the deal? He had 55 SB last year.
  13. How bad/good does he have to play to have both sides pick up the mutual option for 2025? Gotta be somewhere close right now..
  14. Perkins could be the odd man out in the OF. He can be optioned down and kept as insurance. Mitchell, Frelick, Chourio, and Yelich (and Perkins) can split time in the OF for the next what….4 years! I can’t imagine this team not trading for at least one SP, even if it is last minute before the deadline and only involves a last place team’s 3rd or 4th best pitcher on an expiring contract. Better yet, adding another top starter for the 2024 and 2025 season would look really good though…a definite need this season and a great piece for next year’s rotation along with Woodruff, hopefully.
  15. I think Ortiz will move to SS in 2025 for the next 5-8 years, leaving Turang at 2B for the same time period.
  16. Peredes too…just great arm movement…
  17. Just love how Myers reaches so far back…great arm motion.
  18. More like he didn’t want to be the goat and felt his best chance of getting on base was with the bunt….I still struggle with his explanation by his locker.
  19. Gotta believe Black’s defense is subpar everywhere or he would be up at the beginning of the season. However, his bat is good enough that Murphy hits him third. He is fast too, and the Brewers could use yes another stolen base threat on the lineup or off the bench. And I think the DH position and spot start at 1B might fit him well for us. Still cannot believe his bat is worse than Turang or Frelick…..there is a carved out spot for him on this team.
  20. Who would this even be? B to B- starters, sure, but is there an ace on the market? Is there a Sabathia even out there?
  21. For one…no trade because of the Hader trade aftermath. So no. For two, this wouldn’t be a move to help the team this season either. I think players and fans expect one or two good starting pitchers to be added in the next month and a half, not us dealing our starting SS for more prospects. And for the third strike, we are loaded with prospects already and we should be feeling a Rule 5 and 40 man crush this offseason already.
