  1. We aren’t hitting, but boy don’t we have great depth at all positions!
  2. No and no, Didn’t have to pay any player 2.2 mil to play AAA. Nontender in offseason would have made the most sense if he was this low on the totem pole.
  3. Sickening to watch our offense and know there is a player that had a last year OPS better than the large majority last year and this year. He is given no shot even though he is paid $2.2 at a position(s) of obvious weakness which requires no defense. And he continues to hit well. And while I’m at it, hugely disappointing to see Toro thrown back down as well. It’s like a popularity contest where Adames cannot be taken out of the top of the lineup and Hiura/Toro cannot get a fair shake. Winker is coming back too… and Rowdy carries his weight in the dugout too. And get Frelick in a normal contact/OBP spot… not #4 or 5.
  4. Hiura 2-4, HR 3RBI .304, .953 OPS Black at 3B, Hiura at 1B Call these guys up and they could be the 4th and 5th best bats in the order…
  5. Doesn’t bother me if done right…like the idea of a West and East for football. For basketball, East plays East twice, and a few rotating games vs.West.
  6. But oh the flexibility usage of our defenders…
  7. Taking the strike box off the screen would be good for everyone’s sanity… just show key pitch replays with it…. Like they used to.
  8. Jerked around for the numbers he produced…he hit in every spot in the order in 2022… every spot in the batting order. Hiura was hitting .805 OPS on July 10 when he was sent down for a month. September….4 positions, 4 spots in lineup, only twice playing in same position back to back days. He went 7 days and 5 days without an at bat, and then 5 of the games he pinch hit or left the game early. 49 At Bats…like two weeks of Adames ABs… not regular in any way. He didn’t hit well overall during stretches and that is fair… but again jerked around where Cutch was under .700 OPS getting regular ABs at DH.
  9. Adams hitting….841 OPS in wins…..481 OPS in losses and .676 OPS overall. And this is the guy batting 4th still. He can do no wrong. Do we expect a big change, is the question. I guess I expect him to bat 7th or so for us now, and I just hope he gets a little better. And on a side note….Hardy was sent down (and then traded)at .659 OPS in 2009. After, he hit 30 HRs in 2011 and won three consecutive Gold Gloves with Baltimore from 2012-2014.
  10. And idiots for hitting Cutch DH against righties in September with Hiura and his .949 OPS in about 98 PAs and a months worth (26games) of games there… the idea of playing the hot hand or not jerking one around in the lineup, in the field, from AAA to MLB, or in and out of the order did not or does not apply to Hiura. So good in so many ways our Brewers… but the emperor is naked with DH strategy. Just compare numbers.
  11. Is Wiemer in CF for the next decade?
  12. Saw Molitor do it frequently… a rarity for almost anyone else.
  13. Adames would be bad this year batting 9th. Pretending he is a stick is costing us dearly.
  14. Too bad no one can bunt… bunt to 1B is a run.
  15. If that is Adames, he is out at 3rd, though.
  16. Looks to me that the Trade of Urias (he caught that ball) is a big confidence boost to Turang. If not, it should be. AND with sending Miller down too, Turang is getting at bats in August.
  17. Pretty pleased with our MLB roster. I would of course have Hiura up too and one of four or five down, but I digress… also, tough not to be pleased with more quality arms at AAA.
  18. Miller should be playing more 2B and 3B now…so the trades frees him up a bit to play elsewhere other than 1B.
  19. Urias made that catch, by the way.
  20. Likely to NOT be exercised…would be shocked if it was picked up. And no way we risk exercising the option to try and trade him. Brewers do not operate this way for a lefty middle reliever.
