  1. I need more clarification here…. So two options were used? Apologies.
  2. This has to be clearly a lefty vs. lefty move and for those occasions when a couple of lefties are due up in the 6th/7th. By adding Norris a pretty good pitcher, maybe even better than Norris overall, has to go down. I would think Norris has very little rope to do poorly with others waiting in the wings.
  3. Escobar plays big right away. 20 games over.
  4. Hoping Wong can keep getting regular rest here and there…. Another DL stint would be troubling. Escobar should make that easier to do.
  5. Right…. Henry has to make the majors and be above avg. to equal this. The crazy part is the years of control that the Brewers have Curtiss. Two excellent trades for Escobar and Curtiss, you would think on paper.
  6. Go back in time and trade him for Machado? I’m in. I know it doesn't work this way, but if I was guaranteed we'd have won the World Series that year like the Cubs did when they acquired Chapman, I'd probably still have done it. Probably?
  7. Unbelievable to think, but some very good performing relief pitchers plural for us will be sent to the minors in the next few days….. maybe even Cousins or Sanchez.
  8. For as blah as Yelich is perceived to be doing this season, he has been clutch. In high leverage at bats, he is hitting 1.050; with RISP and two outs, his OPS is .833 OPS, all RISP situations he is hitting .368! Maybe he should be hitting 5 or 6 when guys are on a bit more…
  9. Shaw and Vogelbach are probably gone with the addition of Escobar and his ability to cover 1B and 3B.
  10. Agreed. He has a year to get it right, IMO. So want him to be a great bat.
  11. "Friendship" isn't the reason, but no doubt he's forced throws to Adams and Nelson over the years. It worked more often than not though. Yep. He prefers to throw balls to guys he can trust. The problem is, Adams/Nelson were top receivers in those situations. Rodgers hasn't seen Cobb in almost three years, and Cobb isn't the player he was the first time around. All QBs prefer to throwing to guys they trust. The original post made it sound Rogers was going to force throws to Cobb instead of hitting more open receivers causing outrage of fans. Favre and Rodgers were/are known to spread the ball around.
  12. You mean the Royals are beatable? I haven’t seen that, but I’ve heard yes…… Cards have 10 games against Pirates.
  13. How about JBJ? Can they put him to the minors? Can he refuse….
  14. Guy most likely to be….. livin in a van down by the river. https://www.themanual.com/culture/daniel-norris-mlb-feature/
  15. Oh, absolutely. Yelich, Cain, and Taylor are there. Probably not Garcia. Have to think Bradley will opt in given his play this year or maybe he simply doesn’t like Milwaukee and wants our. I think Peterson should be thought of for OF coverage in LF/RF too.
  16. He is not force throwing to Cobb or anyone else because of friendship. Has he done this ever in his career?
  17. All lefty starters, he bats until the cows come home.
  18. Pretty sure it would be thru 2027. This year would not be considered a full season of service time.
  19. Love how he grips the bat… looks like he’s driving a motorcycle revving the engine.
  20. I heard/read the same about Escobar at 1B. I was doing the lineup by my own gut reaction. If I had to fix my lineup a bit, I’d move Taylor up the order against lefties. He is arguably the best hitter we have against lefties.
  21. They are going to keep riding Yelich, simply because they have to. This team likely goes nowhere if he doesn't pick things up. They aren't going to start platooning him. Well, now they have options. And no, they do not have to play Yelich just because he is Yelich. And yes, we have been winning without him being great. Lefty starters come by, what, 20% of the time. He could/should have those days to rest his back.
