  1. After doing some reading, I think Pickens is a guy we end up with at 28. Best case scenario is that a QB slides and a team trades up to 28 and we can get Pickens in the first part of round 2.
  2. I think they need to get a WR in the first 2 rounds, not necessarily in the first. If there Kyle Hamilton starts slipping (he has been in some mocks), I wouldn't be shocked if we moved up and got him.
  3. I work for a seasonal business that gets a lot of Karens. Customer service training says to say you're sorry and then let them ***** as long as they want until they say whatever they want. The few times I didn't do this we got blasted with bad reviews saying we were rude. Rude pretty much means you didn't give them what they want or bow down to whatever stupid crap they were saying.
  4. Pitch clock 3 balls, 2 strikes. If you take the first strike, you are out Do 3 half inning hitting intervals until the 7th inning, clear the bases after 3 outs and start over Lower the mound Share all revenue and have a payroll floor
  5. Winning Time is good, not sure how historically accurate it is however.
  6. I'm starting to see prices stabilize or decrease in some areas (lumber, used cars) but overall inflation isn't going under 5% for a while I think. Food prices will continue to be an issue and the conflict in Ukraine is going to make it much worse. My dad is a farmer and has locked in higher prices than he has ever gotten for 2022. Of course his input costs are higher than ever as well.
  7. Yes you are right but they aren't quite that big of a spread. The highest is about 4% and maybe the lowest is 2.5%. We have held off charging processing fees but are definitely an outlier in our industry.
  8. It's the same posters hoping to confirm their preseason biases/takes. They will disappear when the offense and team have a good run like always.
  9. Vegas was a lot of fun this year. It was the busiest when we have gone and the weather was terrific. One thing that was shocking to me was how not busy the shows we went to were. The fullest was about half full even though (out of 4 we went to) they were all excellent. A gripe I had is that it smells like weed in too many places. I don't care if anyone smokes it but spray something on yourself so you don't reek.
  10. The convenience fees thing really depends on what side of the fence you are on. For customers, "just add it to the price" makes people that pay with cash pay extra because of those that use credit cards. For business owners, they are getting sick of paying all of the fees as they keep increasing. The rewards cards are by far the worst. I know for my family's small business, some can be 4% which is a joke.
  11. So now we are bullying people that use stats? Really?
  12. My ranking of positional need: 1. WR 2. Safety 3. DL/Edge 4. TE 5. OL 6. Cornerback 7. Linebacker 8. RB 9. QB
  13. If the Bucks stay healthy, they should come out of the East. Giannis will drag us there by himself if he has to.
  14. If Conforto is healthy and open to a one year deal, that is a risk that we should be willing to take.
  15. Interesting trade
  16. I've seen some call him Kestdaddy and that is his Twitter handle. Not great but at least it makes sense.
  17. What is right with it? I don't see how it makes sense.
  18. Motion to ban posters calling Keston Spicy K.
  19. I could see it happening. I would like another lefty option that can play in the outfield.
  20. Sounds like a Busch Lite diet for ya
  21. Yeah I am a poker player myself. When I went to downtown, I didn't find games at the stakes I like. I generally play 2/5 NL or 5/10 NL. This time we are staying at the Bellagio which I have wanted to check out.
  22. Seems awfully pessimistic for the Brewers catching duo. I think they will be more in the middle of the pack when it is all said and done.
  23. I thought we should have a vacation thread since hopefully it will be decent to travel again for a while. Anyways, I am going to Vegas again in about a week. I have gone a few times and have done quite a bit of what is popular. Any tips on places to go/see/things to do? Last time we did the Neon Lights Museum (go at night).
  24. Has anyone brought up Sammy Watkins? For some reason, I thought we were interested in him at sometime in the last couple of years.
  25. Fine with MVS going. There are a ton of veteran WRs out there so maybe the best course of action is to wait out the market and sign one or two for a low cost deal. Am I the only one that is starting to wonder if paying WRs big money is a bad idea? Not quite RB bad but still not great. Every year there seems to be a great WR draft.
