  1. I think we need to draft a safety with the contract situation of Amos and Savage.
  2. Who do we have making up the bullpen this season? Locks: Hader, Williams, Boxberger, Cousins, Suter Options: Mejia, Gustave, Milner, Gott, Bettinger, File, Perdomo, Sanchez I am assuming we will run a 6 man rotation with Ashby being #6 otherwise he will be in the pen. I wish there was an easy way to see who has minor league options remaining.
  3. Davis probably hurt his draft stock quite a bit the last few games but I am guessing he will still leave. I am thrilled that Davison is finally going to be off the Badgers.
  4. Seems like a crazy amount to give up for a QB with those legal issues attached to him.
  5. Would have been a wild amount of draft picks had the Packers done the Denver deal and made this Adams trade. Oh well.
  6. Good because it doesn't make sense. I mean if he was a free agent sure but not with his current contract.
  7. Assuming their contract demands aren't crazy, I'd like Landry and Juju or one of those and throw a flier on Julio Jones or Austin Hooper.
  8. I think Conforto may be a guy to keep an eye on if his market doesn't materialize. I would much rather have him in RF over HR personally.
  9. I am guessing this will be it offensively unless someone is around for a discount later. If we are having issues mid season, we can make a trade. Just my hunch on the situation.
  10. Because he is an outfielder and has never played 1st base before. He also offers some value on defense as an outfielder. Are you Clancy's burner account?
  11. McCutchen paired with B. Miller wouldn't be a bad DH platoon
  12. Ok if this isn't a big money deal.
  13. Would not be shocked if the Cubs make a couple of moves to try and make the playoffs.
  14. Man our division is going to be the worst in baseball.
  15. Player A vs lefties: Career: .954 OPS 2021: 1.027 Player B vs righties: Career: .780 2021: .842 Any idea who we are looking at? Neither player would break the bank and be "splashy" but combined they would be a decent DH platoon.
  16. Adams said he won't play under the tag. Sounds like standard negotiating tactics.
  17. You know it's Hot Tub season when BITW is posting those hypothetical lineups... time for things to happen!
  18. 5/6 seed and everyone nationally picking against them in the 1st round incoming....
  19. Good to see the new CBA will help out competitive balance
  20. If the Mets want to dump JD Davis, might have some interest.
  21. When can free agents sign? LFG
  22. I wouldn't be shocked to see him as a 2nd rounder now.
  23. Oil down double digits today. Hopefully that trend will continue.
  24. One thing I have noticed is that Giannis seems to protect his body MUCH better than he used to. You don't see him hitting the floor all of the time like he used to. We are seeing prime Giannis and it will be awesome to see how far he can carry us.
  25. I don't fully understand the large increase in oil pricing. Has the market greatly increased demand? Well not really. Demand is up from people moving again from the pandemic but it seems to be more gradual. I think you will see a few more people ask to work from home, carpooling and maybe less "random Sunday drives". Yes the US banned Russian imports but Europe and China have not and they buy a lot more of it than we do. What about supply? As far as I have read, supplies have increased slowly. Probably not enough to keep up with normal demand which is why oil pricing was increasing before this conflict. They say that larger publicly traded oil producers are not producing as much because they don't want to oversaturate the market and want to return profits to shareholders. (remember when oil prices were negative?) The smaller private producers are increasing production but finding difficulties getting equipment and workers. Now I drive an EV so this doesn't effect me directly. Obviously it affects me indirectly. So I guess the only random conclusion I can come up with is speculators driving up the future price. In that case, f them.
