  1. Happy to see some success from Burnes as I think he needs some confidence going into the season.
  2. Anyone know of any good food trucks in Madison/Milwaukee/Appleton? I have a need for a few food trucks for my events this Fall.
  3. I help run a large festival and have not heard anything about insurance rates changing because of COVID.
  4. Giannis was outspoken because he is a loyal dude which bodes well for him staying with the Bucks.
  5. The Knicks continue to show they don't know what they are doing.
  6. I will be working hard to come up with ways to reduce our staffing by 50% for this Fall. With the amount of workers that are bowing out and the extreme lack of new applications, I don't have much of a choice. I am guessing these jobs will not be added in future years after I figure this out.
  7. 2020 really is a crazy year. I am reading that Brewers fans wouldn't enjoy a World Series title as much this year so therefore what is the point. Last time I checked we haven't won anything and 1982 still reigns supreme. Some of us on here weren't alive to enjoy that season and would like to win one in their lifetimes, even if it is a short season.
  8. I think insurance companies are the ones that want the drug testing right?
  9. How does it work when two people with hyphenated last names get married? Do they have 4 last names now?
  10. There is a DC very local to here that starts at almost $20 an hour with full benefits and opportunities for overtime. They are running commercials nonstop which is surprising. I also hear commercials for truck drivers that can make at least $75,000 a year to start. I also hear of stories that people aren't getting their unemployment which stinks but why wouldn't people take these jobs? It's just baffling to me. For me, I am looking to hire for a seasonal job and we pay decent but are only getting high school kid applicants. That is fine to have some of those but we want a mix. Last year, we had tons of applicants and had to turn quite a few people down. What a time to be alive.
  11. Didn't want to put this in the other thread. Anyone else finding it odd that places are still begging for workers while the unemployment rate is high? Not saying it is a conspiracy or political or anything but it is frustrating as someone that is trying to hire right now.
  12. I went and got a haircut yesterday. There was a huge virtual line that they had so they made people wait in their cars outside. When it was your turn, they put your name on a whiteboard and you came inside. Masks were required and worn by everyone. I left thinking that this is how things should be done in small public spaces to open things up but also be relatively safe. Then I had the unfortunate experience of going into a Walmart. I was one of probably 5% of customers wearing masks. It is too bad that there are so many "you can't tell me what to do" people out there. I'm all for freedom but lets be smart about this so we don't have to close things up again. Yes I know that masks aren't required at Walmart but I was hoping for a much higher percentage. Masks really aren't that big of a pain for a small period of time.
  13. Only if you have a crappy roommate.
  14. Cubs? To me, that C word is much more offensive.
  15. I watched The Gentleman last night and really enjoyed it. The only downside was that it was a little hard to understand at times with the accent. Also, if you don't like the "C" word, don't watch this movie.
  16. The tradition of Festivus begins with the airing of grievances. I got a lot of problems with you people and now you're gonna hear about it.
  17. If the season doesn't resume, the Bucks are NBA Champs right?
  18. Wallus: I’ve been meaning to ask, are your tenants doing OK? If the government can wave a magic wand and declare a rent holiday, does that make people less willing to invest in rental properties? So far I have not heard of any health or job problems which is great. I have been wanting to pick up another property or two for months now. The price has not been attractive enough (I have a criteria) to buy. The rent holiday would not stop me from any purchase. At least in my area, new listings have been overpriced comparative to where I feel they will be in a few months.
  19. What will change forever? People will finally start taking advice learned in their personal finance classes and have 3-6 months of living expenses on hand. Just kidding, no way that happens.
  20. I teach online for a large nationwide company currently. I also taught in a brick and mortar for 6 years. Brick and mortar is definitely the route I would send my kids if I ever had them.
  21. I got a haircut not long before you couldn't get them. I could really use another one right about now. The people that didn't get one before they couldn't must be in way worse shape than I am.
  22. I would highly assume they will as that has to cost them a lot of money.
  23. Let's just pretend that they started Phase 1 of re-opening things. How many people are going to still remain quarantined regardless because they are still worried about this? I think this needs to be considered.
  24. I get liking certain guys but why not trade back or take them later? I realize the mock drafts aren't usually correct but they are normally in the area code for most picks.
