  1. Brantley is 100 percent not in the trade. GREAT to hear. Now how about Green? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  2. Green has been pulled from the line up tonight. Brevard played this afternoon, and Green played the whole game, unless I'm missing something.
  3. Deal is done, please head over to the ML forum. http://forum.brewerfan.net/viewtopic.php?t=13915
  4. LaPorta is not playing for the Stars tonight, per Craig Coshun.
  5. Tom's latest: http://blogs.jsonline.com/brewers/archive/2008/07/06/brewers-trying-to-close-deal.aspx
  6. Breaking report that a CC deal might be done, for those that aren't paying attention to the 160-page thread on the rumors forum at this point....
  7. splitter, they declined Jenkins' option, but what didn't bring picks was when they didn't offer arbitration. Dhonks, I believe you can't offer arby to a player who's option has been declined.
  8. not a big fan of ever removing hart out of a game in the 6th inning....
  9. I'd prefer LaPorta/Gillespie to our reported offer of LaPorta/Green/Cain, personally.
  10. So, the Plain Dealer makes it sound like the Brewers AREN't offering Green, otherwise the deal would be done? And CBS confirms with Rosenthal that the Dodgers are out, but the Plain Dealer says the Tribe likes the Dodgers' 2nd/3rd prospects better than the Brewers- which is right? So much information out there that's opposite....
  11. If Salome is really 5'7" I have a hard time enivisioning him as an everyday major league catcher. I would take LaPorta out and substitute Salome for him. I'd think the Indians probably would have a hard time envisioning it as well, and that's probably why he's not the centerpiece of the deal.
  12. Wednesday is Sheets' scheduled start. There's no way they're bumping him even if they get Sabathia.
  13. Good call here Ned. Soup doesn't have it, and let's pounce on the opportunity.
  14. Vote Hart for All-Star at Brewers.com. brewers.com ----------------------- Note: for those with slow connections or those are just plain annoyed by loading the brewers.com home page, here's a direct link to the ballot page: 2008 All Star Game Final Vote Online Form --1992 -----------------------
  15. Ned Yost pisses me off. If he thinks Soup getting tagged for a 4-spot is an aberration, I really have no idea what to say. I'm not sure I'm getting your point here?
  16. Suppan has been absolutely horrible his last three or four starts.
  17. Braun actually finished first in all OF voting- unreal, really, and how wrong the NY Post was.
  18. Congrats to Big Ben as well, as expected!
  19. I believe they said he finished ahead of Fukudome in the voting. Wow, so much for not being able to keep up with Cubs fans and an entire nation in voting. Extremely impressive!
  20. Congrats to Ryan.... Brewer fans must have put on a huge rush, as Hardy supposedly finished 2nd at SS.
  21. Per TBS, Braun is in, passing Griffey!
  22. You would think the Rays may ante up..... They certainly have the ability to do so, but reportedly they're more interested in grabbing a bat and would prefer to make a big offer for that. I think their interest in CC is just passive, but that's JMO.
