  1. So apparently all of that Hart love that was being thrown around this place may have been justified....... That was a monster HR.
  2. Merklinger and Etheridge in the fold, per Brewers.com: milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com...p&c_id=mil
  3. Ned 1, Brewerfan 0. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  4. It will either be a sandwich pick and the team's 1st rounder or 2nd rounder, depending on whether the team finishes in the top half of teams in baseball or the lower half. Considering that few teams in the lower half will be looking for an 8-10 million per closer, I'd say 1st and sandwich is fairly likely.
  5. You just know that this is going to be one of those outings where JDLR goes 7 innings, allows only 2 runs and 2 walks while striking out 13..... But hopefully we pound the snot out of him.
  6. I would actually put this in the ML forum for a few days, just because this forum gets considerably less traffic.
  7. I didnt know the game was on TV. Wow.... we got screwed out of so many April/May games for whatever reason, I guess they're throwing the people with afternoon TV access a bone finally.
  8. If he pitches like this again, I have no idea what they're going to do with him, honestly.
  9. Coco is going through the same problems with locating his breaking ball that t-bow had at this time last year. Fortunately, while T-bows was hanging up and not breaking, Cordero's is staying low. Really low, but low.
  10. Suddenly Yo's outing doesn't look as great..... thanks Carlos.
  11. I'm fairly convinced that Prince Fielder is the best hitter the Brewers have had in a long time..... possibly ever, and it's his 2nd season....
  12. If the voting were to end today, your starting NL 1B wouldn't be named Albert....... mlb.mlb.com/news/press_re...p&c_id=mlb
  13. Shouse and then Turnbow. For the record, was Shouse actually available today? I thought someone in the chat said Powell reported he wasn't....
  14. Maybe Yost simply agrees with the 'batting order doesn't matter' stuff that is repeated here quite regularly by some.
  15. Well, there's your five runs. My apologies, end.
  16. Most of the unhappiness is from those who refuse to admit that his injury was worse than the team made public, which is commonplace for the Crew. I think if that's truly the case, the unhappiness should instead come from those who wonder why he wasn't placed on the DL instead of leaving us short a player and especially a RH bat for some time....
  17. Who knew Hunter getting hurt would cost us 4 runs.... ugh.
  18. well, now I take that back. if this gets close an soup blows in the 5th, we might see Yo.
  19. Suppan's probably not going to get knocked out early. If the game gets absurdly out of hand, they'll have him throw his 100 and then turn to Spurling/Capellan for the rest of the way.
  20. Hey Jeff, you've given up so many two-strike hits this inning, maybe you should stop shaking Estrada off.....
  21. Hall moving down in the lineup had nothing to do with his slump though, in fact he started hitting even better when he was moved back up. Well, the conclusion can be drawn that the drop forced him to be more patient and such, and after he started taking his walks again, he started driving the ball to right again.
  22. If Yost doesn't produce a winner this season he should be fired is the common call. And I think the correct one. But a lot of people here also agreed that the earliest Yost would get fired was probably the All-Star Break, and for that to happen, they'd have to have dropped under .500 and fallen out of first. I don't see how the Mets cold streak is any different. I'm sure it's not. While I don't frequent any Mets Message Boards, I'd be fairly shocked if there wasn't a large contingent there clamoring for Randolph to be canned.
  23. Obviously, changes are made for a variety of reasons, but it rarely makes a difference. Of course one could also argue that both Estrada and Hall started having success again after being dropped in the order some....
  24. How can an umpire stand RIGHT on top of the play, and blow the call? Wow.
