  1. We've got a ballgame again, unfortunately.
  2. Woot for gap power! Ned is a genius!
  3. Nice to see Yost back to pushing all the right buttons.
  4. Yeah, the centering does look off on the card. I was thinking it might have been a style that was just aligned a bit to the left, but you can clearly see how off-center the text is on the back.
  5. Wow, I remember what fun baseball was like. Nice to have it back after a rough 10 days.
  6. 462 feet? Good grief Prince. What'd that ball ever do to you? And Estrada with a monster HR!
  7. Wow, there are like 8,000 fans there right now.
  8. Sure it was. Re-read the thread. The whole topic came up because we were discussing the benefits/drawbacks of having Villanueva in long relief vs starting. But the point that was actually being discussed/debated was: Vargas has been pretty terrible since his second start Which, as I've pointed out, is incorrect, as he's been quite good in his last three starts until today.
  9. I'm comparing him to another starting pitching option who is on the team right now, Carlos Villanueva. I think Villanueva would be a much better starting pitcher. I'm not sure why you're comparing him to CV anyway, as that's not what was being debated in the first place.
  10. Too bad we made that horrible Lee trade last year..... all we got back was the most dominant closer in baseball. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. Remember that game against the Astros where they loaded the bases against him 3 straight innings without scoring a run? That's ONE start of 8. In those last three starts I mentioned, he's had a WHIP of around 1.00, which is great for a pitcher. With all due respect, he's been getting very lucky this year. Fortunately, even after today his end result is better than the guy that we traded for him, who has actually been even more lucky to this point.
  12. Those stats are pretty terrible Actually, no. This was a good start: 6 IP, 7 H, 1 BB, 2 K, 1 HR As was this one: 6 IP, 4 H, 2 BB, 4 K, 1 HR As was this one: 6 IP, 4 H, 3 BB, 4 K So your point that he hasn't been good since the first two starts is blatantly wrong, as 5 out of his 8 starts have been very good, and one of his others was good enough.
  13. but people just look at the runs scored Yeah, how dare they look at the actual results.....
  14. When Jenkins gets hot, he can carry the whole team, and he's certainly doing that today. Hopefully he keeps it up out west.
  15. Vargas has been pretty terrible since his second start That's simply not true. He's actually been very, very good his last four starts, giving up 0,0,1, and 3 runs respectively.
  16. You know what would be fun? Giving the lead right back! Ugh.
  17. Apparently I should go to Woodman's when the Brewers are playing like crap more often....
  18. With that, I'd officially rather go grocery shopping at Woodman's on a Sunday afternoon than watch this crap any longer.....
  19. I can't even watch this team's sorry attempts to play anymore.
  20. Dear Russ, Aren't we all glad that going into a prolonged slide following a tough loss is just "an old baseball cliche" instead of something that could actually happen to the 2007 Brewers? Signed, The prolonged slide
  21. Dear Bill Hall, Thank you, now would you encourage the rest of the team to do something soon? Thanks, Brewer fans everywhere
  22. Dear Team Canada, That may be true, but Estrada's throw was high and outside, almost into CF. Sincerely, PF
  23. Dear Johnny Estrada, You really need to learn how to throw out runners better. Sincerely, Chad Moeller
  24. Dear people in this thread who can't take a hint, Please don't disregard what every other person is doing. Thanks, The format of this thread.
