I think they'l look to trade the arbitration-eligible Davis this off-season. I doubt it, as Melvin doesn't seem big on trading low. Unless they're convinced Davis' 2006 is a sign of legitimate decline instead of an off-year, he'll be back, IMO.
This is Exhibit A for why leaving Bush in last night and not totally shredding the bullpen was a great move by Yost. Lots of Rick Helling today, I predict.
And Bush is cruising along now. Maybe Yost actually saved the pen by sticking with him. I'm still a little pissed that Maddux didn't go out for a visit in that inning, though.
I'm not one for getting on Yost's case, but its time to get your team motivated for these games. If they're truly not motivated for these games on the road while they're in the middle of the race, then they shouldn't be playing pro baseball. I doubt there's anything Yost can do.
Yay for not holding a lead. Bush and Davis seem like experts in not being able to handle 2+ run leads this year. Can we maybe not give a 3-run lead right back the inning after we get it, Dave?
Production costs? I don't understand that reason at all. It's not like the production crew isn't already in Florida. My guess is that they were already obligated to carry the WIAA event before the Brewer schedule even came out.
Seriously? No TV on a Friday night? Man alive does our TV deal suck. Does FSN have more important things to show, like yet another rerun of Beyond the Glory or something?
