  1. A few fresh on my mind from the weekend: -People at stadiums on cell phones who are talking to someone else at the stadium and proceed to standup and wave their arms frantically to try and get someone on the opposite side of the stadium to see them amongst the 80,000 other people in the stadium somehow. - People at bars (usually guys) who get so absurdly drunk that they proceed to dance around like idiots, interupt your group/conversations by poking their heads in and singing at the top of their lungs or to yell something stupid, etc because they think they're being clever and cute. Which goes right in-line with... - People at bars (usually guys) who get so absurdly drunk that they proceed to aggressively go after any woman in the bar, whether their clearly there with another guy or even if the girl clearly tells them to leave. Usually accompanied by random 'wandering hands' and last night even witnessed a guy trying to 'dance' with a girl and he tried to remove articles of clothing. Yipe. - Female friends who continually date jerks and scumbags, then are the only one shocked everytime when things don't work out because the guy turns out to be a jerk.
  2. Because 1) nothing else is on TV Not a fan of College Football?
  3. You have a free move to make it and you don't take it. Again Yost doesn't do a little thing that increases his chance of winning. I can buy PRing with a pitcher, but the suggestion to run with Cirillo and hit with Rivera made no sense at all. And if you think a pitcher would be going in hard at 2nd to try and break up a double play, I doubt that very much.
  4. Put in Cirillo to run and have Rivera hit. Or run Bush. But putting in your slowest player to run when a DP will kill you is stupid. Why in the world would you rather have Rivera hit there? I'll take the guy batting .333 at the plate that is faster down the line. The runner going into 2nd is totally irrelevant and would have been out regardless. Not sure what your beef is.
  5. We need to get Lowe out of the game ASAP to win this one, I'm afraid.
  6. For 10 games we forget how to play baseball at even a Little League level, and suddenly we pick up right where we left off with Colorado. I don't get it.
  7. Well, Ned and the Brewers sure seem like they're trying to make sure Ned doesn't get brought back next year....
  8. The team is playing like crap, but the umpiring on this entire 10-game losing streak has been sickeningly horrible.
  9. What a half-effort play by Hall.... slam into the guy if he's going to sit on the plate, don't try to dance around him. And he probably shouldn't have gone in the first place.
  10. Is the first base ump in the mood for a fight or what? MLB needs to do something about over-agressive umpires. They have the right to toss people from the game when THEY are the ones being morons.
  11. The umpiring has been poor in virtually every game on this roadtrip.
  12. Today, it's needing said laptop by the end of this week at the latest, and receiving an estimated ship date of October 2. Grr.
  13. Having to order a laptop tomorrow when I wasn't planning on having to do so urgently.
  14. Unless Carlos can pitch well in relief, he wouldn't be helping us much.
  15. The bullpen has been pretty horrible again over the last week. Good thing Cincy keeps losing so we don't lose any ground. The NL wildcard will be right around .500, it seems.
  16. But there are people who only post things as they are waiting for something bad to happen. What is the point? Well, on this roadtrip, anything that could go wrong has. And it certainly seems like at home or on the road, when we take a lead or tie a game, we do our best the next half inning to undo that progress.
  17. Does your life suck that much? Easy there.
  18. We tied it up in the top of the inning, it wouldn't be the road Brewers if we didn't give the lead right back in the bottom half. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  19. wouldn't you think he could motivate his team to play hard and win at least ONE of these game in FL? Motivation only goes so far. The players still have to actually go out there and not suck.
  20. I didn't realize donkey was such a horrible word. Calling someone a donkey is a clear violation of the rules of this forum. Trying to provoke things like getting people banned for menial things like that is childish and I feel sorry for you. I tend to think that calling people names (like calling someone a 'donkey', for a random example) is childish. Please refrain from doing so in the future.
  21. Re-read them before you go ahead and make a donkey of yourself calling me out. Inappropriate.
  22. Davis isn't even really getting beaten with walks yet tonight, he's just getting the snot pounded out of him.
  23. Just be happy we didn't sign him to a 5 yr, $45 million contract or so last offseason like we were talking about doing. I can only think of a few people who wanted to sign him to a 5 year deal for any amount. But yeah, that's why you don't sign pitchers to deals longer than 3 years.
  24. Either FSN is broke, or they're pulling the plug on this one to show more Poker re-runs.
  25. And David Bell cuts off a throw to the plate that had a legit shot at the runner. Man alive. It's like we forget how to play baseball when we hit the road.
