  1. I don't understand this comment. I think that what Brian said was pretty clear.... what don't you understand?
  2. Hey Cappy- It'd be great if you'd go back to being the good Cappy and not the sucky Cappy we've seen in July. Thanks much.
  3. IMO, with a 4 run lead and a shutout going, you've gotta keep him in unless his pitchcount is 120+ EDIT: until he gives up the run or gets into huge trouble, that is. EDIT AGAIN: especially considering how dominantly he was pitching. Not for a guy in his second start back from an injury who was already very close to 100 pitches. He clearly was right at his limit, as evidenced by the first two batters he faced hitting a single and HR. But yeah, he had been dominant. The smart move there was Shouse.
  4. Shouse should have started this inning. We let emotion for Sheets get in the way of our heads.
  5. Jenks is hovering around .250 with little power and he is one of Yost's favorites. You know that how? Jenkins is playing like crap and shouldn't be hitting vs. LHP, but let's keep the stuff within the boundaries of fact, please.
  6. If Sheets gets a CG today, I'll really question why he was pulled early in his last outing. Why? He had thrown 94 pitches in his last outing. He's only got 81 right now. We'll see where he is after the 8th.
  7. Sheets' pitch count is still really low as well. Should be good for 2 more innings at least.
  8. Did Uke just say that JJ is headed to AZ to start a rehab program?
  9. So this Mench guy is kinda good so far.
  10. I think Turnbow needed that save just to get the monkey off his back.
  11. The thread is discussing the merits of trading for David Bell. That can clearly be discussed in the David Bell transactions thread. Discussing predictions for his performance this evening can be done in the in-game thread. Duplicate or redundant threads will always be locked.
  12. If Weeks misses the rest of the season because of a wrist injury sustained on a slide into second on a balk, we are truly cursed.
  13. It's Kevin Mench, so his head is having problems getting through baggage check. Or he's potentially involved in the deal that is on the verge of going down tonight. Either one is possible. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  14. Apparently now it's the Brewers' fault for not being able to control air travel.
  15. They tried... there was a complication with his flight or something of that nature, so nothing controllable.
  16. Anyone still out there thinking that we should be buyers?
  17. Capuano has actually been quite poor in July with the exception of his game against the Cubs prior to the break.
  18. There was an interesting discussion in the chat room tonight that sparked my curiosity. The point was raised that when a setup man goes from being in that role to being in a closer's role, that his ERA is going to go up based on the switch in roles, and said that there was a report of some kind out there that confirmed it but didn't know where. Obviously, I don't have the resources to find out if there's any valid evidence of this on a widescale basis, but I figured if anyone had any idea that it'd be Russ.
  19. And it's too bad that there are apparently a lot of people who are too dense to realize this. Easy there.
  20. Dave Bush up in the bullpen, again?
  21. I don't know what it is, but it sure seems like Gross struggles big-time when he leads off. I haven't looked up anything statistical to back this up, but it sure seems like it. Only a .222 BA, but a nice .364 OPB, .444 SLG and .808 OPS, in 18 AB's.
  22. I'm guessing Brian has better things to do than worry about what we're saying in the chat. I think you're seriously underestimating the sad lives that the moderators and staff truly lead. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Seriously, if people behave themselves in the chat, Brian will never have to see it.
