  1. Thank you Narron for batting Aurilia cleanup. Of course now he'll probably hit the tying single.
  2. That ball four pitch was practically down the freaking middle of the plate.
  3. And THAT is why our catchers' constant use of a high fastball as an out pitch is more risk than reward.
  4. If Yost would have managed strict L-L/R-R that inning, they may well have used three relievers, not two. Gotcha. But ideally, Kolb vs. the Righthander Phillips would have resulted better, and they wouldn't have had to bring in the 2nd RHP, as Aurilia never would have had an AB in the 7th.
  5. That might have been one of the most classic exchanges between Bill and Daron this year: Bill: "I walk across that bridge everyday for free.... why would anyone pay to do it? Did they put up a toll booth or something?" Daron: "Apparently when you pay, you get a 22 second firework show. One person has paid." Heh.
  6. Kolb may have worked too, but then you're burning through an extra pitcher. But if Capellan doesn't come back out to pitch the 8th, then they've burned through that extra arm anyway.
  7. I agree that he did his job and pitched well (except for his error), but I maintain that he shouldn't have faced the first two men to bat in the inning in the first place. If he'd have been brought in just to face Griffey, I'd have been perfectly fine with it.
  8. If you have a LOOGY, use him that way. Don't make him pitch to two righties before getting to the lefties. Use Capellan or Kolb, THEN bring in the lefty when Griffey comes up.
  9. I think Daron's right though, Batman. Come inside, throw behind his back, whatever. But don't go for the head, regardless. Kolb now?
  10. That was very intentional, and a justified warning by the ump.
  11. I like the new picture Peavey. Thanks much. Sometimes it's hard to let go. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  12. I thought it was absurd to let him finish the last inning... now they let him hit with the tying run in scoring position in the 6th inning, and are letting him continue to pitch with 111 pitches?
  13. Is Narron managing drunk? Or is he just asleep?
  14. Testing. RIP Nuke. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  15. Doug! Look out for the wall! You're hitting it!
  16. I'd be great if Doug wouldn't allow the Reds to homer themselves right back to a tie game after opening it up to a 4-1 lead for the 2nd straight night. As I was saying..... Kolb time, please.
  17. I'd be great if Doug wouldn't allow the Reds to homer themselves right back to a tie game after opening it up to a 4-1 lead for the 2nd straight night.
  18. What did Brady do? I can't see it. He slid into homeplate WAY out of the baseline to the point where he couldn't have possibly even touched the plate with the sole intention of taking out the catcher as he made the relay throw to double up Prince. The home plate ump called him for interference and none of the runners were allowed to advance.
  19. For those that feel Ned leaves starters in too long and doesn't pull them until they hit the wall, Narrron is actually leaving Bronson in here far after he hit that wall, it seems.
  20. I can't believe Hatteberg cut that ball off on the way to the plate, as Carlos would have been out by 5 feet.
  21. Sure glad Prince didn't strike out there. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
