  1. I think almost all of the K's have come on the changeup so far. Helms and Moeller both struckout on fastballs right down the middle last inning. Lee struck out on a fastball in the 1st.
  2. Definitely one of the most informative articles the JS has run this year. Is it wrong to hold out hope Seattle opts for Maybin (in the hopes that one of the third basemen falls to us)? Not wrong at all to hope. If Seattle takes Maybin and KC does something stupid, would the Nats still select Zimmerman, who they seem to be really high on? If Gordon fell to us, it'd be a fantastic bit of luck, but its definitely possible. Like you said, Clement is definitely out, much to my dismay, also Hochevar and Pelfrey. I hope we draft BPA, but I like the position talent available at #5 over any of the pitchers available anyway.
  3. Unless Branyan and Miller are both injured/dead, I don't like that lineup. So of course this is the lineup that's finally going to score runs. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  4. Sorry to join the discussion late, but I think this was probably the best decision, though I hope that down the line things will be reconsidered like they were with Reed. The thing that I don't get is why he felt that he had to lie about the badgermaniac thing. I don't understand why he felt compelled to hide that, despite the fact that it was the same username and obviously him.
  5. debating now...
  6. Sorry Nuke, had to move on.
  7. Woo.... nice hitting tonight. Way to go JJ!!
  8. 42 BB, 12 wild pitches, 11 HBP And therein lies the problem. Its hard to argue that he doesn't have the stuff to succeed, as he's got over 9k/IP and far less than a hit/inning. I'd say that he's worth a flyer in the mid rounds, if only on the hope that someone can help him harness his control.
  9. Since when does Branierd travel with them on the road? Yikes.
  10. Well, glad to be wrong. WTG Derrick!
  11. Turnbow? Probably should have gone with Wise here...
  12. Is there anyone out there that actually thinks we're going to win this game?
  13. Is it possible for us not to have to come from behind in a game? Please?
  14. I doubt a less formidable threesome has ever been penned. Osik, Clayton, Sheets?
  15. Man, I counted at least 2 strikes in that 4-pitch walk...
  16. Cap might havre the best move I've ever seen...
  17. Any additional updates on Neighborgall, Colby?
  18. You know, for all the people that say defense is overrated, it's pretty clear that poor defense has definitely cost us a number of times already this year. The offense obviously isn't carrying its weight right now, but it won't continue to struggle like it has. In the meantime, its painful to watch them compound the problem by giving up outs on the basepaths because of being overaggressive in the wrong spots. The pitching staffs' performance, however, has been nothing short of fantastic thus far, both in the rotation and bullpen.
  19. If Brady has a really good year and does hit like .300 with say 20 HR's does anyone think we will keep him around? or do you think we will still bring up Krynzel? Even in that scenario, keep in mind that Brady is 32 and Krynzel is 23 and tearing it up in AAA right now. If Brady is having a great year around the deadline, we'll probably get a nice haul for him. Also, I don't think there's anyway that Brady hits 20 HR's. His early power is nice, but I'd be very surprized if he hits more than 10 HR's in a full season.
  20. Man, it's nice to have a catcher that can hit.
  21. Wow.... Brady Clark is making me a believer.
  22. Nice to see the roof closed and the lights on in an attempt to fool Victor the Vampire into thinking that its night. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  23. I'm sure glad that Pujols was ice cold coming into Milwaukee so that he could pound the bejeebus out of the ball a few times when he got here...
