  1. Yeah really, there has to be something available. Maybe he can take the Brett Favre route and play with high schoolers.
  2. Looking at the schedule we could retro-active DL him on the 15-day and he could still be back by our series with the Cards He'd just be missing the Padres, Dodgers, Pirates, and Stros. Not too bad.
  3. Hmmm, the haul seems a little light but it depends on the PTBNLs.
  4. An egg that my friends and I buried in a time capsule for 5 years. It was monumental.
  5. Sounds like that British swimmer had a heck of an effort.
  6. 93 wins and I would be ecstatic. No complaints there.
  7. IF. It's time to prove they are a playoff team. You beat the little guys like you were playing the big boys.
  8. He'll be playing against AAA and MLB players in the Olympics. While I wouldn't expect him to mash in that league, I don't think it would be asking too much of him to be able to hold his own at that level, given what he's already accomplished. Yeah, I think this is a really great experience for him. He should really get some perspective on the talent. He's only 18!
  9. So glad he signed. His potential is through the roof. Can't wait to see him next year.
  10. Too expensive. Think younger.
  11. I think Prince should sit for the series. Cool off a bit. I'm guessing they are cool though. They've known each other for years, having played at A ball together and worked up.
  12. Just as I turned the channel. I'm assuming that they removed Fielder. Strange.
  13. That's is just so much money to tie up in one pitcher. CC is perhaps the one player in either league I would consider for that type of money going forward. He's a durable true ace pitcher with a good bat. That's nearly impossible to find. The question is: CC > Sheets + Fielder ?
  14. Glad to see Jeffress making such good progress. That K rate is insane. Now, if he can just polish off the rough spots... But man, that PTBNL is a real nightmare at this point.
  15. Well, for about 6 years I would get the same type of pain just on my left side. I went to the doctor in college and they told me it was a muscle strain. They were wrong. It got much worse and I eventually thought I was having a heart attack and went to the ER. After a full set of tests and a running stress test they determined I have a great heart and perfect blood pressure and cholesterol. It turns out the thing was a tell-tale sign of anxiety. I didn't outwardly feel panicked or anything, but the pain was a way of my body coping -- sorta like a sore neck or headache. I would go into your doctor or local clinic and have them take an EKG just in case. They can tell real quick if it's a heart thing. Otherwise, your likely suspects are anxiety or gas.
  16. That's a good point. Jason Bay is good, but I'm not sure he's worth Ramirez, Craig Hansen, and Brandon Moss. I think they were just trying to make the best of a bad situation. They will be worse though.
  17. Yeah, I would go with this lineup tonight Durham Hardy Braun Fielder Hart Kapler Branyan Sheets Kendall Cameron and Weeks need to step it up.
  18. Thanks for the personal narrative JohnBriggs. I'm sure through your experiences that the vast majority of people are mature and accepting if your son gets a little excited sometimes. Believe me, I also know from personal experience about how children on the autism spectrum can experience the highs and lows more than you and I. It's tough sometimes, but the more you educate people the more you realize that most are decent.
  19. Asperger's a type of very high-functioning Autism. It's often very difficult to notice it, especially in public. Regardless, I think fans should focus their cheering and booing on the field and not the grandstand. If you follow that rule, everyone will be happy. It's too bad a few idiots always have to ruin in for a section of hundreds.
  20. You're right, which is probably a sign that we cannot go deep into the playoffs with a far below average second baseman and an out-of-position closer.
  21. Actually, I was feeling like Kendall was going to hit a walk off, but there might be some sewer gas and household cleaners leaking into the room.
  22. You cannot just throw away division games like this if you want to win a championship. The Cubs have shown more composure.
  23. It's almost as if FSN is trying to piss off Brewer fans into coming to these games. And why does every Cub fan have to look like such an incredible dolt.
  24. Cameron is just a dead spot in the lineup. I count him for nothing. You cannot tell me that TGJ wouldn't do at LEAST what Cameron does. Not to mention the obvious: Kapler.

I don't think that's the case at all. There were some potential concerns about the gmail offering that it would target ads based on the content of your emails, but that was done algorithmically, not by handing out the content of your emails. I think the main concern people have with Google is that it is a nearly omnipresent monopoly, with the potential to do bad. They haven't yet, but they have the potential. Good thing their company motto is "don't do evil."
