  1. Just got my tickets and the lower seemed to be already sold out. Can't wait. I saw Eddie in 99 solo at the Tibetan Freedom Concert. Very cool. I noticed that you didn't hype the show before you had your tickets. Smart. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  2. Yeah, I'm guessing they didn't expect the daughter to be there... But what, do all your teammates run in with beers and then slowly tiptoe out like "Oooo, my bad. Yeah, this is uncomfortable. Congrats on the allstar game dude. Nice kid." It's all in good fun.
  3. Wait, Prince Fielder TRIPLED!? I need a TV.
  4. Good ole Richie, I just looked at his stats and had forgotten how good he was for several years there.
  5. I'm as excited by Lawrie as I have been for any first rounder since Weeks. He just seems to have the 'it' factor. But really, this has to be the coolest anecdote so far: "Lasker, who is named Maverick after Tom Cruise's character in Top Gun" A.) His parents are cool. B.) He's young enough to be born after Top Gun, which for some reason is surprising to me. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. Yeah, he should be here in September, but he'll still need a place to play. He'd have been perfect in interleague games. Can't wait to see him up at the bigs though.
  7. I can all but guarantee that if you go to UW-L you will enjoy both the campus and the city. But really, it comes down to whether it's a fit for you and your goals.
  8. I'd be willing to donate my next ticket directly to the "Pay Mota to Stay Away Fund". Dude just throws meatballs.
  9. Don't discount this option to quickly. If you'd like to get into any type of technology field, the Air Force is an amazing institution to strive for. Plus, with the terrific new Jim Webb GI Bill, you'll still have the financial ability to add a degree later on.
  10. I get your point, but there are few things that have a better return on investment than a degree from a public university. The salary difference is proven data. It's not the only path, or even the best sometimes, but it is proven. Ultimately though, your success is driven by your desire to work.
  11. Yeah, I often think about this. It might just be habitual for him. It is distracting though.
  12. For some reason, the fact that you latched on the Tyson Chandler with your screen name just give you fan cred for some reason. Hope you enjoy the atmosphere of Miller Park as you watch the Cubbies lose three games on the Brewers. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  13. Frankly, I expect Bogut to keep developing and turn into a max contract type of center. He really has the drive and ability to be a top 5 center. That is extremely hard to find.
  14. Personally, I still think we'll sign Prince to an extension and he'll be here until at least 2013. No need to worry, especially this early.
  15. Yeah, Mark A gets it. Even if it's just an investment, the best way of improving the value is building excitement and continuing to re-invest in your product. He's done a marvelous job of ramping this up quickly.
  16. Well sure, but if CC gets hurt it doesn't torpedo our chances either. We gave up no bigs.
  17. Dang, dang. But really, we are shooting for the wild card and a NLCS against the Scrubs.
  18. Wow, way to go Gallardo. I would love to see him in some capacity late in the season. But, I fully expect him to be our #1 next year with Parra as the #2. If Sheeter resigns, all the better.
  19. I just pay cash for my drinks -- you drink less and save money.
  20. Maybe we used all that mojo up during his amazing stretch. I hope not, but it is time for Bill Hall to catch fire.
  21. I'd rather have Hall here than Branyan.
  22. Man, that just is a horrible bounce.
  23. Oh lord, please let this be true. If so, we got a HUUUGE steal.
  24. I'm assuming/hoping you're talking about Brantley, not Braddock.
  25. You seem to discount the psychological impact on both the players and the fans. Earlier in the season Braun mentioned that the Brewers didn't seem to 'expect to win'. I doubt they can use that as an excuse from here out. Plus, you give the fans an intangible (hope) that leads to the tangible (money). Attendance goes up, we spend more money, we win more games. There is an impact beyond the sportswriters. It's not easily analyzed, but it's real.
